IntroductionA Webquest for Intermediate learners of English as a foreign language.

In groups of three you need to plan a day trip to London for you and your classmates.

Task

• Create a plan of action for the day.

You need to plan your transportation, choose the places you want to visit and where to eat.

• Prepare a presentation of the action plan.

The presentation will last for 15 minutes and each member of the group must talk for roughly 5 minutes in front of the rest of the class. You can use Powerpoint slides.

Evaluation

• You will be evaluated on your ability to create an effective day trip action plan and your ability to produce a presentation in an appropriate and clear manner.

0% - 40%: Inadequate: The students did not create an adequate plan of action and the presentation produced was extremely difficult to follow due to many grammar mistakes and inadequate structure and delivery . The students must create another day trip plan of action and produce a new presentation in order to pass the module.

40% - 60%: Good: The plan and presentation were good but not very well organised. Grammar mistakes were made and the students were difficult to follow at times.

• 60% - 80%: Very good: The action plan and the presentation were very well organised. The students presented in a clear manner/ very good use of vocabulary and grammar.

• 80% - 100%: Excellent: Action plan and presentation were very well organised/ excellent use of vocabulary and grammar/ presentation extremely impressive and engaging.
