“ there was a time indeed they used to shake hands with their hearts; but what gone, son

“ and I have learned, too, to laugh with only my teeth and shake hands without my hearts.

I have also learned to say, ‘goodbye’ when I mean ‘good – riddance’ ;

to say ‘ glad to meet you’ ; without being glad ; and to say ‘ It’s been nice talking to you after being

bored’’ .

According to my point of view

• The title itself suggest that a father recall his

emotion, his feeling, and his love towards his son when he (his son) was a child.

• Now child become a businessman, he changed his relation, his life after getting success or being an industrialized person due to the urbanization.

• The poem illustrate how people of society have fake personalities and they are trying to return to being more innocent and pure again.

• “ Laugh with their teeth, while their ice – block – cold eyes search behind ma shadow”
