(En 1990, los televisores… grandes). Hoy, ellos son muy planos)

USE (utilidad)We use the past form of the verb to be (was/were) to talk in

past time. (Usamos la forma pasada del verbo ser o estar para hablar en el tiempo pasado)

They have not got contraction forms. (No tienen formas cortas)

We can use words such as; (Podemos usar palabras como;)

When can we use WAS? (¿Cuando podemos usar WAS?)

Solamente haciendo referencia a la 1ra y 3ra persona del singular.

WASIt´s used instead of the singular

present form of the verb to be (am /is).

(Usado en vez de la forma singular del verbo ser o estar (am/is).

When can we use WERE? (¿Cuándo podemos usar WERE?)

Solamente cuando el sujeto de la oración es plural o hace referencia a la 2da persona del

singular.

WEREIt´s used instead of the verb to be

“ARE”. (Usado en vez de el verbo to be “ARE”)
