Why do Tuition Costs Rise?

Public institutions are heavily funded by subsides

States distribute the funds, which are collected taxes, on a priority basis

If, for example, the state gives more funds to K-12 there are less funds for colleges

Therefore, if funding drops tuition rises

+Have a meeting with students and faculty to discuss all issues and clear the air

+Hopefully, settle on a reasonable increase for both parties

+Research what organizations or programs can handle and sustain a budget cost

+Rally UTEP students, teachers, organizations, and clubs to search for more private funding to help deter the cost to students
