Preliminary Task

To insure I met the requirements of the ‘hip-pop’ brief I completed a shoot with

two male models posed in a hip-pop theme. I used the stereo to set the

atmosphere for the shoot and insure that the audience for the magazine knew

the genre for the magazine. I experimented with colour and black vs white to create a sense that the models

are the main focus of the poster. I wanted the text to be bold hence why

the font is in white and in capitals. I additionally added a graffiti image onto

the wall to help create a sense of hip pop. To finalise the image I added the

production logo on the bottom left hand corner.

o Task- to create a rock CD cover for Mouse Rat

Within this image I attempted to create a CD cover (front and back) that conforms to the genre of rock. The main element

within this image is the fact that it is black and white. I believe this works well and will help to attract a certain audience to

the CD. Because the genre for the CD cover is rock, I therefore used dark

lighting and concepts. Moreover shown in the text size, font and colour within the image. I posed the model holding a bat

suggesting more of an edgy feel and thus insuring the appropriate audience is

attracted.
