STORY SANTIAGO : The shepherd in search of his destiny. He has passion of visiting the world. KING – MELCHIZEDEK: He inspires the boy to sell his sheep and to find treasure. He is a very wise man. THE ALCHMEIST : He is the man of extraordinary abilities , he can understand the language of the world.

THE FABLE OF THE STORY

The Alchemist is subtitled as

“The fable of following your dreams”. A boy Santiago chooses shepherding to

full fill his desire. He meets with different strange people on

his way.He wants to inspire his recurring dream , to

find out hidden treasure.He has to face many hardships in order to

accomplish his dream.At last he grasps the practical shape to his

dream by achieving treasure after covering toil and industrious journey.

SANTAGO-DESTINY Santiago ‘ s father

suggest another occupation for him.

Santiago ‘s father discourage him to adopt shepherding as occupation.

He also advises him to leave this desire.

But his all efforts go in vain

At last he gives some money to fulfill this burning desire and blesses him for his occupation.

INTERPRETATION OF BOY’S DREAM Santiago’ s meeting

with the old woman Gypesy.

She demands for reward.

At last Santiago meets with old wise man.

The old man inspires him to achieve his goal.

THE BOY -WITH THE OLD KINGThe boy irritates with

old king.

He shocks on his sagacity. The boy asks about the interaction of king with shepherd.

The king answers very interestingly .
