Is the freedom of communication and expression through different mediums.

Is the guarantee by a government of free public press for its citizens & their associations, extended to members of news gathering & there published reporting. It also extends to processes involved in obtaining information for public distribution.

PRESS FREEDOM

Rapid growth of media after 2001. Media has multiple roles to play. Pakistan has not attained a position that

can be described as “free media”. Freedom House ,a respected organization

has ranked Pakistan at 61st position of a total of 167 countries evaluated world wide.

Pakistan’s Status

Censorship is the control of speech or other public communication which may b considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive, politically incorrect or inconvenient as determined by a government or other controlling body.
