Having the letter limited to one page By having a limited number of words allowed I was forced to eliminate extraneous verbiage and remove information that

was not necessary

By writing a memo to the One Campus One Book Committee Lots of information required with only a page to write it all down Helped practice being concise and courteous Was applicable to my life Was a suggestion for future students Required me to research others schools reading requirements

and aggressive letter/email Sending emails is an everyday occurrence. Especially in today’s day and

age

This knowledge is something that we as students can use forever in our professional lives

As an aspiring lawyer, writing memorandums will be common in my profession Being able to speak and write professionally and clearly helps with interviews,

meetings and all business interactions Keeping my writing concise and applying the 5 C’s can be used in all other

courses where I am expected to write letters, memo’s or essays

what goals will you set in accordance with what you have learned to improve yourself, the quality of your learning, or the quality of your future experiences?

I will be sure to remove extraneous verbiage in my writing I Have developed a better understanding of what it means to be clear

and concise without being wordy I will be able to write professionally while remaining courteous. This will

help me in any situation where I hope to have something rectified (i.e. Demand letters)
