  1. 1. The artist on the cover is clearly being represented as a stereotypical indie pop artist. This is displayed through the prop and their clothing. These show that the artists are nice, approachable people and are just like everyone else. My questionnaire results I identified pop and folk music as my target audience music genre of choice. So I have therefore plugged interviews to get information about these popular pop and folk artists, including: Ed Sheeran, Clean Bandit, Sam Smith and Bastille on the cover. This will therefore appeal to my audiences music taste. The magazine is priced at 2.99, this is so my target audience can afford the magazine. My target audience will probably have a relatively low income, this means that the magazine will be affordable for them. I chose to have a 3 colour colour scheme of red, black and white. This will therefore appeal to both a female and male audience This is because the colours are gender neutral and arent really linked with any particular gender. From my questionnaire results I identified that my target audience wanted things like posters and competitions in my magazine. As well as articles that offer discounts on media products that my audience identified as being appealing to them.
  2. 2. From my questionnaire results I could see that my target audience wanted new and up coming artists. And so on my contents page I talked about an upcoming artist who was playing their first gig. This would have appealed to my target audience because it is what they wanted from a magazine. On my contents page I used the same three colour colour scheme, tis was so that the magazine had the same theme throughout it. After advertising about the up and coming artist, I chose to layer the image of her. I chose to layer the image because it stand out much more than the other text and images on the page Another way I chose to appeal to my target audience was positioning my text on one side and images on the other, this meant that the page looked neat, due to the division between the two. This would mean that my target audience wouldnt become overwhelmed with the information on the page.
  3. 3. On my double page spread I chose to use the same artist as on the front cover, this is so that my audience feels that they can relate to them. This continued on to the opposite page when I chose to write about my artists ages and education. My artists are a similar are to that of my target audience would made relating to them fairly easy and therefore appealing to them quite simple to do. I was also able to appeal to my target audience by keeping in with the house style colour scheme, as a result the magazine flowed all the way through. This meant the overall appearance of the magazine seemed familiar to my target audience, and from my questionnaire results the colour scheme I chose was the one they favoured. I was also able to appeal to my target audience by changing up the font style on my double page spread. This kept the readers intrigued because I didnt choose to keep with the same text font. This meant that they would be intrigued by what was on the page because it caught their eye due to the sudden change in font.
