Benchmarking is a systematic process used for identifying and implementing best or better practices

Benchmarking is a process of comparing one’s business processes and performance metrics to industry best and/ or best practices from other industries

It gives answers to questions like- why the others are better? How are others better? What are we lagging in? Problems occurring to enhance organization processes? How can we become best in industry?
