Production and
Distribution
In our production we have invented our own production and
distribution companies. We created our indents on motion. Our
production company is called ‘Urban Revolver’ which
compliments the films genre as being an urban drama and crime
film. Our distribution company is called ‘British Pictures’ this
reflects the fact that our film is a low budget national film.

We have a real life distribution system as we
have uploaded our film opening on vimeo
where it is now available to vimeo users and
there is a possibility of a global audience.
We have also got a cinematic release on
Tuesday 25 th March 2014 in The Screen on
the Green Cinema. Our film will be screened
to 140 students between the ages of 17 – 18
years which is in our target audience range
of 16 – 21 years.
We have also got a DVD release.

If this was a real release then our film would
likely be produced and distributed by a small
independent company because we have
created a low budget urban film and not a
high budget which would be big global
players. Therefore our film would be
screened nationally and would have a 50 – 60
screen release across the UK. Our film would
likely be screened in art houses rather than
big cinemas such as Odeon.
If it was a real release our film will be
produced by gunslinger productions as they
have produced many other urban drama
such as anuvahood and shank.
If this was a real release our film will be
distributed by revolver as they have
distributed films that are similar to ours.

Our film advertising would be heavily
dependent on the internet and social
networking sites compared to a high budget
film. This is because as a low budget film it
would not have abundant money to spend on
advertising through posters on buses,
merchandise, toys and celebrity starring.
However our advertising would be successful
because our target audience of 16 – 21 years
are active on the internet (social networking)
and if not all, most of them have a Facebook,
twitter, instagram account and therefore our
advertising would be able to reach our target
audience.
