Photoshop- I used this software to create my magazine and edit pictures to use with in it. I used both CS6 Extended and CC forms of Photoshop. I downloaded the free CC version for use at home and came in a Creative Cloud package. I had never used continuously through out my media coursework from the research to my final magazine and evaluation I have used a computer, at school during lesson time, study periods and working after school in my own time. I preferred to work on the computers at school in comparison to my home computer and lap top as the school computers were equipped with new software which I didn’t have access to at home. Internet explorer/ Google chrome- I used the internet throughout the whole of my coursework process. I was a very important element of completing the course tasks as without it I wouldn’t of been able to research and gain images for my blog. Through using the internet I have been able to learn how to research more effectively. I did this through using multiple sites and getting useful information on my WB850F samsung Camera- I used this compact camera to take my magazine photography as I knew the image quality would be great for editing in photo shop due to its 16.2-megapixel and CMOS sensor that captures the colours in my shots well. I learnt how to change the settings on the camera in order to get the best quality photo for the setting I was i. I especially needed to do this for the images I took outside.

product?Microsoft Word- Through using Microsoft word for numerous tasks through out my media course I have learn hot to lay out my work better and use the tool on the program effectively to make work more aesthetically pleasing. This was done through using decorative text boxes and applying different fonts to my writing, inserting pictures also did this. The program is very easy to use and has been used for much of my media work on my blog and as a result I will carry on using it.

Microsoft PowerPoint – Microsoft power point has also been used throughout my media blog work mainly in the research section. In using the software I have become more familiar with the tools and features it has to offer. I also used this software for writing my article as I was able to keep track of the amount of words I was using, correct and spelling mistakes and then transfer my work over to Photoshop with the copy and paste tool

YouTube- I used YouTube to upload my pitch video to my blog. I found this useful as it allowed me to get an embed link that was then compatible with the blogger site. I taught myself how to do this as I had never uploaded a video before. I now feel comfortable with this aspect of the site. Through adding a video to my blog it created a different format that my work was presented in. this was most appropriate for the work I used it on as for my pitch it created a visual way that my audience could briefly find out about my magazine.

Fotor- this site was a very effective way of creating Tumblr style pictures however it crashed frequently causing time management problems. From this in the future I would try alternative sites to add effects to my images as this will be more effective. From doing editing my pictures on this site i learned what style best suited my theme of country but also what effects improved the look of my pictures to suit my magazine. I applied many effects to my images and them compared them against each other to choose the most appropriate and most aesthetically pleasing one for my magazine. The site was also useful to crop images and resize them to fit specific areas of my magazine. I have used multiple technologies through out my media coursework. I have developed in how

effectively I have used them and therefore have become more comfortable in using them. I have learnt many new skills through using some I haven't used before and have developed

existing skills with ones that I have. With some of the new technology I found it quite challenging at first, especially with Photoshop, as it was something completely new to me

that I had to learn in a small time scale. I have even enjoyed using some of these technologies such as using the camera as I was able to develop my skills and learn about

different ways I can use my camera settings to enhance my photography.
