COMPARISON

Firstly my preliminary task is very juvenile it contains next to no structure and the layout doesn’t really follow the route of the eye. The image used in my preliminary task isn’t of a good standard, the image looks stretched, where as in my coursework task, the image is taken using a different shot type and it does not look stretched or deformed.

The use of colours follows the genre more closely in my coursework magazine ,e.g. the reds and blacks are associated with rock. Whereas in the preliminary task the page uses colours that don’t really go with the type of genre that the magazine is designed for.The poster

images are all of the same size and they fit in with the magazine, whereas on the preliminary task I have just added pictures of a pencil and case.

FROM MY PRELIMINARY TASKS, HOW HAVE MY SKILLS IMPROVED?

I think that my attention to detail has improved as well as some media techniques as I did not know any at the start of the year. Also my understanding of how the layout should look has become much broader than before.
