My results show that storyline one was the more appealing, however, the story would be difficult to film and would not turn out as effectively as storyline two if produced by me. This is a contrast to storyline two as it is easier to film and also some of my audience still find it effective and I believe it to be a more successful idea.

These results for storyline one show that it would be very effective if I had the facilities and resources to film, however I do not so this would make filming the trailer more difficult. The story is still shown to be very conventional and appealing for the audience. It also shows an aspect of suspense for the audience and clearly relates to psychological sub-genre of horror.

These results show that 100% of my target audience would consider watching the film. However, only 33.33% of people would definitely watch it, whereas 66.67% maybe would watch it, showing that the story is appealing but is also not that enticing to the target audience to persuade them to watch the film.

These results show that storyline two is appealing to some members of the audience greatly but is also not so appealing to others. This means that if I was to choose this idea it would be very appealing to a niche audience. This storyline is also easier to film and could produce a more successful final product. It also shows that the idea would be conventional and relate to the horror genre.

These results show that 50% of my target audience would watch a film with storyline two which is an increase from the amount which said they would watch a film with storyline one. This gives it an advantage over storyline one. However, two people also said that they wouldn’t watch the film, which is higher than storyline one because nobody answered no. “Maybe” is the lowest percentage which is a contrast to storyline one because the majority chose the “maybe” option.

These results show that not much could be added to the mise-en-scene of both storylines except a few more props and a larger range of settings if possible, which would make it more effective and appealing for the target audience. However, not much could be improved which shows that the mise-en-scene for the storylines is successful.

These results show that not much could be added to the sound of the storylines which shows the existing sound is very effective for the horror film. However, there are some improvements which have been suggested such as a tension building non-diegetic sound to make it more conventional and emotional sounds which relate to the characters.

Similarly to the mise-en-scene and sound aspects, not much was suggested to be added to the camerawork. This also shows that the camera angles I decided would be effective are successful and appealing to the target audience. There are a few suggestions that were displayed such as canted angles, camera panning and mirror shots, which I will try to incorporate in the creation of my trailer.
