5. Patient without any medical records beforethe accident. He
is admitted at 5 am with a frontaltraumatic brain injury, he was
hit with abaseball bat.
6. GCS 12E3 V4 M5 Disoriented in time and place Left sided
hemiparesia and hyperreflexia Right frontal subgaleal hematoma
Normal pupillary reactivity Left Pupil 3 mm Right Pupil 5 mm
7. Blood and Urine tests without clinicalsignificance.
8. Right Frontal Epidural Hematoma
9. Craniotomy and evacuation of the hematoma. Acute phase
administration of 50 ml/day.
10. The patient was hit with a baseball bat in theright frontal
region and admitted with a 12 GCS,confussion and left side
hemiparesia. CT scan reported a right frontal epiduralhematoma and
a craniotomy and evacuation ofhematoma was performed, also first
treatmentcicle of Renacenz is started. After 24 hours, the patient
has 15 GCS, and hesimproving movility in the left side of the
body.
11. At the end of the first cicle of Renacenztreatment the
patient was fully recovered,without any neurological impairment.
Renacenz has proven to be a helpful resourseto improve patients
outcome, but we mustnot forget the role of decompressing surgeryin
the traumatic brain injury.
