DESCRIPTION
So what is research anyway? It's not a set of steps 1-2-3 that you can check off and be done with. Research is more like a map that has you retrace your steps from time to time. You might need to go backwards-- not because you messed up, but because you learned something new about your topic or discovered a new direction in which to take your research. Retracing your steps is built into the research process!
