Bullying and Harassment
Bullying and harassment is behaviour that makes someone feel intimidated or offended. Harassment is unlawful under the Equality Act 2010. Examples of bullying or harassing behaviour include: spreading malicious rumours. unfair treatment in person or cyber space.
Equalities Act 2010
Protected Characteristics are characteristics that an individual can identify with that would be unlawful to discriminate against (eg Disability)
College Student Bullying and Harassment Policy
• City of Glasgow College has a ZERO Tolerance stance on Bullying and Harassment
• Policy aims to ensure a positive and supportive environment
• Foster good relations based on dignity and respect
• This policy is underpinned by the Student Disciplinary Procedure

Consequences• Depending on the severity of the claim, the
person named as the perpetrator may be suspended pending investigation
• This may effect bursary monies and other payments received
• The perpetrators may be given a recorded warning or expelled from college
