How to do a Chapter Summary Bible StudyThree Easy QuestionsChapter SummaryThree Questions when you read the chapter you wish to study:What does the chapter say? What does that mean specifically to me?What am I going to do about it?

Some add an optional memory verse as a part of the process to help them retain what God has said to them.

A timeline (where are we now)

1234567Hail, etcAsteroid?WormwoodDarknessLocusts200 MillionOwnershipChangeRevelation 8Revelation 9Revelation 11KV 15: Salvation of what was lost

1 - 2: The court outside the temple trampled for 3.5 years3 - 13: The Two Witnesses (, martys)14 - 19: The seventh trumpet sounds - God becomes King againRevelation 11

Measure the Temple!

Sometimes you have to ask why a passage occurs where it occurs. In this case, I dont think it was to give us the dimensions of the temple! Why not? Because they are not given here!

The real reason that this is given here, I think, is that the Lord wants to tell us some things:The city of Jerusalem will be trampled by the Gentiles for 42 months. That there would be two witnesses that would preach Gods word for 1290 days.

Both those numbers are equal to 3.5 years half the time of the period Jesus labelled The Great Tribulation in Matthew 24.Revelation 11

The Two Witnesses who are they?

Hints: Two olive trees, two lampstands

Most scholars agree these are Moses and ElijahThe powers described here in verse 6The two that appear with Christ on the Mount of Transfiguration (Matthew 17, Mark 9, Luke 9)Michael and Lucifer arguing over the body of Moses (Jude 1:9, shows that God had a use for it)

Minority view Enoch and Elijah, the two people in the Bible that did not die

Might not be either of these things, but we know that they are men, not angelsRevelation 11

The Seventh Trumpet Sounds Paradise Regained!

Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying," The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.

Then the 24 Elders begin to worship, The Temple in Heaven opens, the ark of the Covenant appears there, flashes of lightning, rolls of thunder, earthquakes, hailstorms, like that.

So what does all this mean?Important points to considerThere is a cost to being a follower of JesusThe holy city will be trampled for 3.5 yearsThe two witnesses (Gk: Martus, a different word than Martyr) will pay for standing for the Lord with their lives. They will not be allowed a decent burial. The city itself will pay an earthquake destroys 1/10th of the city, killing 7000 people (this has the effect of turning people to God)Great Joy will fill Heaven at this timeThe angels, the 24 Elders, certainly the Lord, will rejoiceGreat sorrow will fall on those who have abused Gods people

The MAIN point to considerWhat is the effect of suffering in YOUR life?

Suffering has one of two effects:Bring you closer to GodorDrive you away from GodThe ChoiceDeathLife

The choice is yours!

Jesus said:

"I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. (John 14:6)

That statement is EXCLUSIVE!

The choice isnt to live or die forever you will live forever we are all eternal beings! The question is WHERE!

The choice will be decided on whether you will accept that statement or turn away to ideology of your own choosing.Revelation 11So CHOOSE!!!I am here to help if you need me!
