New Volume on Social Media by Fulbright Alumnus Alexandru Bradut Ulmanu Cartea fetelor. Revolutia Facebook in spatiul social/The Book of Faces. Facebook Revolution in the Social Space was written by Alexandru Bradut Ulmanu and published by Humanitas - one of the most prestigious publishing houses in Romania. The vol-ume addresses a very modern topic - social media - showing how social networking services such as Facebook and Twitter affect global politics, reshape journalism and change our everyday life. To find an answer to all these issues the author spent many hours with tens of people, asking for their opinions and trying to understand their point of view, for each and every case. So far, The Book of Faces has generated many positive reactions among the Romanian readers; it was also received with much en-thusiasm at Bookfest, the largest national book fair. Alexandru Bradut Ulmanu is a Fulbright alumnus in Journalism at USC Annenberg School for Communication & Jour-nalism.

News from U.S. Fulbright Alumna Elyssa Ford As a U.S. Fulbright grantee to Romania in 2009-2010, Elyssa was teaching English as a foreign language & advising at Babes Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. Following her Fulbright grant, Elyssa just started a tenure-track position as an assistant professor of history at Northwest Missouri State University. She is teaching classes in U.S. history, women's history, and public history. Here are some of Elyssa’s comments about the new position: “I am a historian in a combined department of History, Humanities, Philoso-phy, and Political Science, and I am directing the minor in Public History. It is going to be a very busy year since I teach four classes a semester, and I also am getting used to teaching larger survey classes of 60 people each. Everyone in my department, at the university, and in the community have been very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. This semester I am teaching the U.S. survey and public history. In the spring I will be

teaching the U.S. survey, women's history, and U.S. since 1945. I am looking forward to using some of my experiences in Romania when I talk about the Cold War and communism in my U.S. since 1945 class.” We wish the best of luck to Elyssa and congratulations for the new position!
