• In the 8th Century BC the Greeks started to travel and set new colonies. They grew rich because of their trade and success at war.

• We know quite a lot about them because they left a lot of statues, pottery and writing about the things they did.

to have wars for food and land. The Spartans were starting to grow their

population. A few years later the Spartans marched over the mountains and took their food and land and there wasn’t
