Founded in 1925 by the Adrian Dominican Sisters, Rosarian
Academy is the only independent Catholic school in Palm
Beach County. Its mission is to educate the whole person
for life in a global community in the light of Gospel values.
For 90 years, Rosarian has been dedicated to providing its
students with the foundation to live life � lled with faith,
knowledge, and service. � is is accomplished through the
e� orts of a dedicated community of faculty and sta� who
work in unison with administration and parents to provide
each student with the tools necessary to be successful.

A Sense � Community…
Rosarian Academy’s Montessori classrooms provide a caring, individualized,
and structured learning environment for students up to � ve years old. Our
highly trained Montessori-certi� ed teachers lead their students through
challenging lessons that develop concentration, independence, and sense of
self. Emphasis is placed on learning through hands-on Montessori lessons,
investigation, and discovery. Research shows
that children who a� end Montessori programs
develop a strong sense of self-discipline,
motivation, empathy, and love of learning.
� e Children’s House curriculum is enriched
with cocurricular classes in physical education,
art, music, library, Spanish and gardening.

Commi� ed to the belief that each student is a valued individual with
unique spiritual, physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs, the
Lower School o� ers an enriched and nurturing environment where
young learners can � ourish. Teachers and specialists work together
as an instructional team to emphasize critical thinking, creativity,
reasoning, and fundamental skills. Students share their learning with
others through class projects, performances, and presentations. � e
Lower School program fosters intellectual risk-taking so that students
can develop con� dence and competence in all areas of the accelerated
curriculum.
Core subject areas of learning include language arts, mathematics,
religion, science, Spanish, and social studies. Cocurricular o� erings
include art, music, drama,
physical education,
computer, and library.

Academy’s mission to educate the whole
child, wide-ranging cocurricular o� erings--
including art, band, drama, music, physical
education, and technology--supplement
the academic portion of a student’s day.
Upon completion of middle school, graduates progress con� dently
and successfully into the most desired day and boarding high school
programs and, ultimately, into the � nest colleges and universities in the

Middle School at Rosarian Academy is engaging, stimulating, and
challenging as it makes the most of the tremendous leap in intellectual,
physical, and social growth that de� nes the � � h through eighth
grade years. � e program maintains a rigorous curriculum that
fosters academic excellence, while accommodating and challenging
students with diverse talents and levels of maturity. Students develop
critical thinking, writing, and research skills, along with e� ective time
management, enabling them to tackle challenges they encounter.

Students are encouraged to participate in the many intramural (K-4th) and interscholastic (5th-8th junior varsity and varsity) sports o� erings where they will learn the value of competition, � tness, and sportsmanship. Sports play an important role by increasing student responsibility, teamwork, and leadership. Students of all abilities will have opportunities to succeed and contribute proudly to the variety of programs.

ArtAn appreciation of art not only inspires, but also enables students to be� er communicate their ideas and feelings. Art classes allow students to showcase their creative expression by developing their skills with a wide range of experiences using various media. Students learn about the elements of art and the principles of design. � ey explore art history, discover their appreciation for art, and learn artistic traditions of other cultures.
MusicElements of music provide a basic understanding of notation, rhythm, melody, and harmony. An introduction is given to instruments of worldwide cultures, famous composers, and great masterpieces. � rough these experiences, students learn to appreciate music. Participation in choral, band, and strings ensembles is o� ered to students at various grade levels.
Drama/� eaterRosarian students experience drama as a cocurricular o� ering beginning in grade four and are welcome to join the a� er-school drama club once they have reached � rst grade. Drama students practice scenes working from scripts and engaging in improvisation. � e theater program helps improve, empower, and nurture the individual and develop a sense of team work and ensemble building. Two theater productions are held each school year where students are encouraged to take part either on stage or behind the scenes.

Rosarian Academy administration and faculty are dedicated to the encouragement and growth of each student. � ey strive to create an atmosphere where students are challenged, motivated, and encouraged to reach their fullest potential. Small class sizes ensure that the individual needs of each student are met. All faculty are degreed and certi� ed and teaching in the area of certi� cation.

True to the school’s philosophy, the Rosarian Academy community lives out its faith in service to others.
Serving those in need is an integral part of life for Rosarian Academy students. � rough meaningful community service opportunities, each student has the power to make a positive di� erence in the lives of others. � e Children’s House and kindergarten’s vegetable gardens promote caring for earth, sustainability, and service as the produce helps feed the poor in our community. Eighth-grade students visit nursing homes and children’s centers as part of their religion class curriculum. School-wide service opportunities, open to families and friends, occur periodically throughout the school year. � rough their actions, students realize that their own well-being is strengthened by service to others and the wider community.

� e action doesn’t stop when the school day ends! In addition to sports, a wide variety of club experiences are o� ered for students of all ages, providing great ways for them to expand their interests and further their socialization skills. Student government, scouting groups, drama, and strings are among the many a� er-school o� erings that provide opportunities for growth and leadership for students of all ages.
We welcome you to plan a visit to our campus at your convenience.
Personal tours are conducted every day that the school is open. Your
time on campus will provide the opportunity to visit the classrooms
and observe students and teachers joyfully engaged in the learning
process.
Admission to Rosarian Academy is based upon a number of criteria,
including a student’s records from previously a� ended schools,
standardized test results, le� ers of recommendation from a principal
and a teacher (or guidance counselor), and a personal interview.
All students for grades one through eight are required to spend a day
on campus (a half day for younger children). � is experience is of
great value. It provides the opportunity to see � rsthand life at Rosarian
Academy. Visiting students interact with other students, observe and
participate in classroom activities, and become acquainted with the
facilities and programs. During the course of the visit, an
age-appropriate entrance evaluation will be conducted.
T H E Admi ions P R O C E S S
Applications for admission should be submi� ed
by January 1 of the year seeking admission.
Children seeking entrance into the Toddler
House or Children’s House meet with the
Director of the Early Childhood Program and
spend time in the classroom prior to admission.
Kindergarten readiness evaluations take place
in January.
Rosarian Academy admits students without
regard to race, color, and national or ethnic origin.
