Our Mission StatementRoseland Educational Foundation supports educators by:• Developing programs to provide teachers with the necessary

supplemental materials. • Supporting teachers through mentoring and a community support forum.• Assisting legislators in creating legislation that benefits education.• Creating programs to assist in building self-confidence in students to help

keep students in school.We are a non-profit organization with 501c3 status. We are achieving these goals through private and public funding and partnerships.

Roseland Educational Foundation Timeline

September 11, 2015-Roseland Educational Foundation was formed.

October 31, 2015-Website for Roseland Educational Foundation launched.

November 2015-The documentation establishing the 501c3 status was

submitted.

November 2015-The mentoring program began to serve the teaching

community.

January 1, 2016-Notes from A Teacher began to serve the community.

February 14, 2016-Animations began to accompany the Education Matters blog and

uploaded to You-tube.

March-Internal Revenue Service (IRS) granted 501c3 status to the foundation.

Upcoming six months ambitious projects include

1. Obtaining sponsorships from established organizations.

2. Seeking grants and other donations to implement the Creating Lifelong Learners program

and sustain established programs.

3. Establishing an inventory list and purchasing items for care packages for new teachers and

for the Disaster Relief program.

4. Performing a Back to School fundraiser on August 18, 2016.

5. Continuing to build upon existing programs.

Next five years ambitious strategies include:

1. Funding scholarships to help supply teachers with supplemental materials.

2. Establishing programs to keep children in school and create lifelong learners.

3. Implementing disaster relief to assist teachers in resupplying their classrooms after a natural

disaster.

4. Creating the program Mind over Matter to help build students’ self-confidence.

5. Initiating contacts to help inform legislators about legislation that benefits students and

educators.

Established Projects

Roseland Educational Foundation has created:

1. A website, a Facebook page, a group on Facebook, a Twitter account, and an Instagram account to establish

connections with educators and the public.

2. Two blogs called Education Matters and Notes from A Teacher that establish and enhance connections among teachers

and parents.

3. A mentoring program to give teachers a sounding board and resource for help if needed.

4. An animated video to accompany the Education Matters blog posted each month and uploaded to You-tube.
