What would you rate our rough cut out of 10?

Our average score was 7.5 out of 10 for our trailer. This means although we need to improve our trailer regarding the questions that follow, our trailer is already at a good standard.

What was your favourite clip?

A common favourite clip was the clips that we had used a green screen for, portraying the artificial intelligence in the Spurious Minds programme. Some people also liked the clip of the character Alan on the train where his reflection was shown in the window and also the clip of the character Tony against the brightly coloured walls in Brick Lane.

What was you least favourite clip?

Most people said they didn't like the clips of people walking however these are important for the clips which will follow as we want to show that they are repeating their day again and again and will do this by showing this repeated in a time lapse, which will be added for the final cut.

Did you understand the storyline so far?

Only 30% said they understood the trailer however almost all of the audience answered the following question correctly, so maybe we are showing as much as we need to in order to entice an audience. However, we will improve our trailer regarding storyline as we still need to add a voiceover to help explain the storyline.

What do you think is going on?

Only one person didn't get a gist of our storyline and almost all could identify that there was an antagonist and protagonist and that our film was inspired by ‘The Matrix’ with the artificial intelligence elements.

What would you rate the music?

The average out of 10 for our music was 7.5. We need to work on our music regarding the second soundtrack as we need to adjust the layers to match the action. We also need to add the heartbeat which will be in sync with the monitor on screen and we will add at the end possibly with music which will fade out. I also want to add some noises which are similar to inceptions ‘Mind Heist’ which will add some effect some of the less exciting clips, such as people walking.

What would you rate the editing?

The average for our edition out of 10 was 7.8. We still need to improve on some of our clips regarding editing as we need to add titles, edit the clips in terms of lighting to add dramatic effect.Average

Do you have any other suggestions?

Suggestions that we have yet to include in our trailer but have planned to do include; a voiceover, titles, the sound of the heartbeat and to alter the music more. A lot of suggestions included making the plot clearer which will be alter when we add in the other time lapses and the voiceover.

Do you understand who each character is?60% of people understood who each character was however the different roles of each character will become clearer with a voiceover.

Do you think there should be music at the end of the trailer?

75% of people think there should be music towards the end of the trailer where we didn't originally intend to have music as we we’re going to fade the heartbeat out however this may be something we will consider by creating two version and picking the better one.
