Santiago Segura was born the 1965 in the Madrilian quarter Carabanchel. He estudied Bellas Artes in the unibersity of San Isidro of Madrid. When he was 14 he bought his firts camera ‘Super 8’ that cost 800pst. and whit that camera he did his first short that lasted 3 minutes. In the optic he obtain very cheap material like rolls of worn out films that could be used. Whit that material he did the “ Midnight “ story and he won the price of Cine Joven De Valéncia that were 100.000pts. He thonk that it was cost 7.000 pts. , the author to persuaded that the cinema was renting and to was a way to win her live.

In 1998 he writed , directed and was a protagonist in his first film “Torrente, el brazo tonto de la ley” it was the film most wathched at that moment and with this he won his first Goya. After this came 2 more and present he Torrente 4.

And he directed 3 shorts.

He has worked in 50 featured films like an actor at them they are : Manolete, El dìa de la bestia, La niña de tus ojos, Asterix en los Juegos Olìmpicos,… The final film has been “El Gran Vàzquez” (2010).

And too at 7 shorts.

- When he finished the career, he was going to working at instinct teacher, but the day before of sign he didn’t do, to be at temporaly “endless a concursant” at TV programmes.

- At the programmes “Locos por la tele” he won a travel arround the world but he change to money.

- He send a letter to the academy of the prices Goya, asking for vote his short, because if he won he will give a big illusion to his grandmother of 92 years: See her grandson in smoking.

- When he had 3 years, he went to first time to the cinema, he have seen mean 2 films every day.

Now he has her own productor
