Student Experience InitiativesOne of the goals of ITT Tech is to assist

students with obtaining relevant “real world” experience while enrolled at ITT Tech.

Two programs can assist with accomplishing this goal: Student Professional Experience program Classroom partnership projects

PAC member, your input and advice are valuable with respect to these programs.

Student Professional Experience (SPE)

An SPE is an opportunity for students to gain professional experience that relates to the knowledge and skills taught in the core courses in their programs of study.

An SPE may be paid positions, unpaid not-for-credit “internships,” Federal Work Study, and/or volunteer work.

Classroom Partnership ProjectsMost courses at ITT Tech require hands-

on exercises for which a student must complete a project or parts of a project.

In many cases it is possible to complete the class project in partnership with a company or non-profit organization.

This provides students with a “real world” project and also serves the community.

Core Course Review

Review PAC – School of Business handout The handout contains a listing of core course

descriptions for an Associate Degree Program in Business Management and a Bachelor Degree Program in Business Management.

Part of the Spring 2012 PAC Survey will request that each PAC member rank these core courses in order from most valuable to least valuable.

Please discuss the importance and value of each course with respect to each degree.

The curriculum department will focus on the courses that are most important to employers.
