Sezze, is an Italian town of 24,823 inhabitants in the
province of Latina in Lazio.
It is situated at 319 meters above sea level on a hill
that rises at the foot of the mount Semprevisa. For it’s geographical location enjoys a mild
climate in winter and cool in summer.
The town is situated on a hill of limeston almost isolated, whose slopes climb down steep to the southeastn on the Pontine plainè, while to the north descend towards the
valley, fertile and well inhabited.
In the municipal area prevail the plantation of corn wheat and oat; Extender areas on the margin of the pontine plain is cultivated with artichokes (504 hectares) and tomatoes (531 hectares); also the fava bean is much cultivated.Between the arboreal cultivation exel the olive tree and the vine comes after .The extensive pasture feeding the breeding sheep (9.000 heads); many are also cattle (2.800 heads) and horses (as much). In the plains there are still some buffalo.
Sezze is served by a railway station Roma-Terracina.
It preserves only a parts of the city walls and doors but the town still has many houses of medieval architecture with Gothic portals and mullioned windows.
