Who's Mary? b) English uses one verb, to be for our two verbs, ser and estar. c) Use ordinal numbers with dates and streets, v.gr. sixteenth of September, eight street. d) Adjectives precede nouns. Intensifiers precede adjectives, v.gr. good boy, very good boy. e) The words my, your, her his, its, our, their, agree with the possessor and not with the nouns they modify. Notice the difference: - This is his book. (John's book) - This is her book. (Mary's book)
