  • 1. When we believe that modern technologyis really modern, this prejudice makes usquestion great physicists like Oppenheimer, the father of modern atomic bomb who onseeing the first nuclear explosion in thelast century said that he had readthe description of a nuclear weapon inBhagavadgita the ancient Sanskrit textwhich says,If the radiance of a thousand sunsWere to burst at once into the skyThat would be like the splendor of the MightyoneI am become Death,The shatterer of Worlds.

2. String Theory states that entire universe isfilled with Vibrations, and so do Vedas callingthis vibration OmYou can take any vedic text thousands ofyears old, or commentaries on vedic textsby scholars centuries old, or even thoseworks at the beginning of the last century, and they all say that the entire universe ismade up of vibrations, and the vedic hymnOm (0r aum) symbolizes this universalvibration. But all these days this vedicstatement was said to be unscientific claiming that there are no such vibrationsin the universe, its only quantum particleseverywhere, so on and so forth. 3. Matapurkar said, "they not only knew abouttest-tube babies and embryo spliting but also hadthe technology to grow human foetuses outsidethe body of a woman-someting that is not knownto modern science," he aded.now, we have only one baby in test tubemethod, and only one animal in cloning, butthey adopted scientific 100 times more than now. This method is In Vitro Fertilization. 4. Mishra said, In 1985, NASA scientist Rick Briggs had invited 1,000 Sanskritscholars from India for working at NASA. But scholars refused to allow thelanguage to be put to foreign use.The scientists believe that Sanskrit is also helpful in speech therapy besideshelping in mathematics and science. It also improves concentration. The alphabets used in the language are scientific and their correctpronunciation improves the tone of speech. It encourages imagination andimproves memory retention also. uter in the least number of words. 5. Modern science says that skin has 4-5 layers, where as Ayurveda says that skin has 7 layers! Now or tomorrow when Modern Sciencediscovers the other two layers in the skin, would it be wrong for vedic scholars orayurvedic doctors to claim that the ayurvedictexts already spoke about this?Ayurveda defines a human as the assemblageof the five great elements plus the immaterialself. 6. The calendar that we follow today is the Gregoriancalendar, which was introduced in 1582.As you know, in the current system, we have a leapyear once every 4 years to compensate for theextra fraction of time taken by our beloved earth torevolve around the sun.Comparing the Gregorian with the Hindu calendar, generally referred to as the Panchang, we see thatthe Hindu version has a much more scientificrelationship. While the former is based on the Solarvariation and accounts for the earths revolutionaround the sun as 12 months each having 30 days, the latter is based on the moons revolution aroundthe earth, where each month takes 28 days. Tocompensate for the loss of days, and extra month, called the Adhik Mas (mas is the word for month), isadded every 30 months. 7. It is an age old practice for Indians to observea fast (vrat) on Ekadasi days. Ekadasi is 11thday of the moon cycle.Indian mythology says, fasting on this daycleanses people from their sins and pave theirpath to heaven. But the scientific reason hidden behind is that, the air pressure on the earth varies toextreme limits on both the new moon (Amavasya) and the full moon (Purnima) day. Now, based on this fact, the significance of Ekadasi fasting can be explained in 2 ways:1) According to science, it takes about 3-4 days for the food that we eat today to reachour brain. Now, if we eat light/fast on Ekadasi days, that intake will reach the braincorrespondingly on the New moon/full moon day.On both of these days, the earth pressure is at its maximum, thus leading to imbalancein everything, including ones thought process. So, if the input to the brain is at aminimum, the chances of the imbalancing of brains activities also become minimum.2)Another explanation for Ekadasi fasting is that, compared to any other day atmosphericpressure is lowest on Ekadasi days. Thus, this is the best time to fast and cleanse thebowel system. If we fast on any other day, the high pressure/strain may damage oursystem. Thus, it is advisable that after fasting on Ekadasi. 8. India was the richest country on earth till the British invasion inthe 17th century. India invented the Number System. Zero was invented byAryabhatta. The worlds first university was established in Takshila in 700BC.More than 10,000 students from all over the world studied over 60subjects. The University of Nalanda built in the 4th century BCwas one of the greatest achievements of ancient India in the fieldof education. Sanskrit is the mother of all European languages. Sanskrit is themost suitable language for computer software (report in Forbesmagazine, July 1987) Bhaskaracharya calculated the time taken by the earth to orbitthe sun hundreds of years before the astronomer Smart. Timetaken by earth to orbit the sun: (5th century) 365.258756484days.MUCH MORE 9. Ayurveda is the earliest school of medicine known to man.Charaka, the father of medicine consolidated Ayurveda 2500 yearsago. The value of pi was first calculated by Budhayana and heexplained the concept of what is known as the PythagoreanTheorem. He discovered this in the 6th century long before theEuropean mathematicians. Algebra, Trigonometry and Calculus came from India Quadratic equations were by Sridharacharya in the 11th century The largest numbers the Greeks and the Romans used were 10^6whereas Indians used numbers as big as 10^53 with specificnames as early as 5000 BC during the Vedic period. Even today, the largest used number is Tera 10^12 The game of chess was invented India Decimal system was invented in IndiaAnd much moreThe legacy continues..
