Terms&Conditions

(1) TheobjectiveoftheSmallProjectFunding(SPF)istoenablestudents/freshgraduatestodevelopprojectsofinnovationand/ordifferentiatednature,includingmajorprojectsandfinalyearprojects,intoprototypesandeventuallyintoactualbusinesses.

(2) StudentsandfreshgraduatesfromTPfull-timecoursesareeligible.Graduatesmustbewithin2yearsfromdateofgraduation.

(3) Thegrantshouldbeusedsolelyfordevelopmentalactivitiesanditemscriticaltotheproject,whichmayincludeR&D,professionalservices,productdevelopment,software,webservices,onlinemarketingetc.

(4) Thegrantcannotbeused for salaries for the team,purchaseofassets suchas furniture,computinghardwareandmachinery,purchaseofgoods forpurebuy/sellactivities (egblogshops,café,pushcartsetc),purchaseofmerchandiseformarketingactivities,andadministrativecostssuchasincubationfees,corporatesecretarialfeesandincorporationofthebusiness.

(5) Fundingquantumrangesfrom$1000to$3000.Eachstudentiseligibleforonlyonefundingperyear.Applicationforfundinginsubsequentyearmustbeforanewproject.

(6) Applicant,ifshortlisted,willhavetopresent/pitchtoanevaluationpanel.Approvalforfundingissubjecttothefinaldecisionbythepanel.

(7) Tomaintainrecordsfortheusageofthegrantandtokeepalloriginalreceiptstosupportallpurchases.

(8) TemasekPolytechnicreservestherighttorecovertheSPFifthetermsandconditionsarenotadheredto.
