HABITATSnakes can live in so many different places.

Woods• Some snakes live in the woods and in

the ground where the most predators are like wild fox and wild boar. Lots of snakes live hear such as the garter snake the timber rattler and also the Burmese python.

DesertOther snakes live in the desert with vouchers that eat little snakes that live in the desert such as regular rattle snakes, cobras, and the diamond back.

EggsSnakes take very good care of

there eggs• Snakes take very good care of there eggs and then leave them when there born.• Baby snakes know how to do everything right when there born

because they are so commune hunters .• Baby snakes learn everything on there own and they will leave them

right away.

Snake TypesThere are many types of snakes. I wonder what they are?

Let’s find out!

• Copperheads, king snakes, and other snakes live throughout the world • there are 2,700 kinds of snakes here are some of them bush

vipers, corn snakes, king snakes, copperheads, cobras, boas, sidewinder, garter snakes, cotton mouths, bush masters, puff adder, taipans, and banded kraits.

Snake DietWhat’s on the snakes menu?

• Snakes have a diet that is very interesting it is lizards, mice, and rats.• Snakes are carnivores they eat

meat• They sometimes eat each other.

Dangers• A snake has many dangers. • Coyotes, foxes, and bores hunt snakes.• Humans will also hunt snakes. • Some snakes will also hunt other snakes like the King Cobra. • Birds will hunt little snakes like the Lesser Antillean Thread Snake.• Some snakes don’t have any dangers at all! • The Beaked Sea Snake is the most poisonous snake in the world! Animals

stay away from him.

Behaviors• When a baby snake is born the mother will leave the babies.• A baby snake will taste the air and not go far from it’s home.• When a mate is being threatened ether one will fight• When a snake molts it will go to a place by itself• A snake will squirm, push, and sometimes make noise when it’s

molting

Snakes are very intelligent • Snakes have over 2,000 ribs throughout their body.• Snakes have one bone going through their body called

a vertebrae.•When they are born they will already know how to

hunt, defend, and find shelter.• They have great senses throughout there body, they

smell with there tough, and do many other things.
