What is a Snowflake?
A snowflake is made up of 1 Ice Crystal.
All snowflakes have 6 sides, the shape is called a hexagonal prism.
Snowflakes are 3 dimensional shapes.

Snowflakes form different shapes based on the temperature and how much moisture is in the air.

A Dendrite Snowflake is an ice crystal that forms in a tree- like multi branch form.
It is what we most think of when we hear the word snowflake.

A Plate Snowflake is an ice crystal that forms a hexagonal shape in 6 equal pieces, much like a pie.
These snowflakes are symmetrical.
