Lumina comes with two batteries: the main battery and the power bank battery.

To charge the main battery please connect the micro-usb cable 6:• to the micro-usb connector B on the

left temple and to the power socket with the power charger 10;

• to the internal power bank battery on the right temple using the Back-Head usb cable 7;

• to the Wor(l)d external power bank 3;• to an external power bank.

To charge the power bank battery please connect the mini-usb cable 5:• to the mini-usb connector A on the

right branch and to the power socket with the power charger 10;

• to the Wor(l)d external power bank 3;• to an external power bank.

Trackpad WOR(l)D SPACE LUMINA

The trackpad on LUMINA’s right temple is your fi rst input device to communicate with the apps and the system. Move fi nger at the touch zone can do the same operation as mouse. Press down on a trackpad to selects an item, quickly double-tap can be achieved with the mouse double-click function.

You can move the mouse cursor and do the scroll function on the Touchpad:

To do the left button click function of the mouse, please tab one time with your fi nger on the touchpad.

To do the left button double click function of the mouse, please tab two times with your fi nger on the touchpad.

Use two fi ngers to tap on the touchpad and then move them up or down to scroll.

To power ON Lumina, push the power button on the right temple once picture 2.

For start up we advice to use a traditional mouse and keyboard connected to the Lumina by the usb-hub 8.

To improve the confort we advice to use the

Back-Head usb cable 7 connected between left and right temples (view page 18).

For the fi rst start please follow all the steps of the Quick Start Menu (Display Alignment System* - Languages - Date & Time - Bluetooth Devices - Wifi - Advanced Settings). For the Display Alignment

System* you can fi nd the user manual in the support area.After insert login and password to access to WGN System. if new user you can register to receive the login and password.

To Login or to Register Lumina needs to be connected to the internet.

8With OTG usb hub, ready in the bag, you can connect Lumina to all the usb devices and peripherals: mouse, keyboard, external hdd, pen drive, etc

NOTE: if there is some device connected to Lumina by OTG you cannot charge the main battery. We advice to use the OTG only to a limited time (transfer fi les, input date by mouse or keyboard, etc).

After powering on the LUMINA, you will see, in the Home Screen, two icons in the bottom of the screen and one icon on the right side in the middle.

On the bottom you can fi nd:1. Wor(l)d Launcher, the fastest way to

reach the settings, the most important

app and Space Media, the media platform to play movies and music.

2. Alice, our Personal Business Assistant.

For Wor(l)d Launcher and Alice you can fi nd the user manuals in the support area.

On the right side in the middle you can select the Apps button to view all the available apps. While viewing all the available apps, you will be able to choose the icons to appear on the Home Screen.Select the icon by swiping a fi nger left or right across the trackpad. Press on the trackpad to launch the selected app.

How to use LUMINA WOR(l)D SPACE LUMINA

Follow the unpacking and packing instructions to avoid damage to LUMINA.

Pull up Lumina gently as in the picture 1.To power on Lumina push one time the button on the right temple, as in the picture 2, then wear Lumina.

To provide optimal comfort and to maximize viewing experience:1. the LUMINA’s nose bridge may be

adjusted through gentle pressure to the inside or vice versa picture 3. Please gently wipe the LUMINA with the included Microfi ber Cleaning Cloth after you have done with the adjustments.

2. You could connect the back-head cable, as in the picture 4.

To put in stand-by mode Lumina, push one time the power button, in this phase you can preserve the battery consumption because all the activity will be stopped.

To power on Lumina from stand-by mode push again one time the power button.To power off or restart Lumina push one time lengthily the power button and select the appropriate button. After using Lumina, fold the temples and pull down on the bag, as in the picture 5.

Listening to the Audio Back-Head Cable WOR(l)D SPACE LUMINA

If you want to get LUMINA secured on your head or to improve your confort, please use included back-head cable.To connect it, plug the two usb connectors in the usb ports at the end of each temple.

You have two ways to listen to the audio:1. Using the Bone conduction sound system located inside

of each temple D ;2. If you wish to listen to the best quality audio, plug the

included LUMINA earbuds into audio ports located on the middle of each temple E .

Please be sure to connect the left earbud to the Left audio jack and the right earbud to the Right audio jack.

Cleaning Prescription Lenses ClipPrescription Lenses Clip 4 (view page 9) is available for users who wear glasses or contact lenses. To install it remove the nose bridge pulling down.

To remove the Prescription Lenses, slip the fingernail between the plastic piece and the frame and pull the lens down.As for the nose bridge, to provide optimal comfort and to maximize viewing experience the LUMINA’s prescription lens clip may be adjusted through gentle pressure to the inside or vice versa.

Please gently wipe the LUMINA with the included Microfiber Cleaning Cloth after you have done with the adjustments.

It is normal for the surfaces to collect dust, facial oil and fingerprints. Please use included Microfiber Cleaning Cloth to gently wipe all the spoiled or marked surfaces until they get clean.Use ONLY supplied Microfiber Cleaning Cloth to wipe optical surfaces. Avoid using handkerchiefs, tissues or any materials other than Microfiber Cleaning Cloth as it will inevitably diminish optical quality.

Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard WOR(l)D SPACE LUMINA

You can use the included Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard as an alternative input device. To use the keyboard make sure both LUMINA and the Keyboard are turned on. To operate the keyboard, switch the keyboard power button on. If the keyboard is not already paired with the glasses, follow the Bluetooth Pairing instructions below.

Bluetooth Pairing

Unless the LUMINA and the Keyboard have already been paired, please follow the Bluetooth pairing instructions.To enter pairing mode, press the Bluetooth button on the keyboard until the status light starts blinking blue. On Lumina go to the Settings—>Bluetooth, turn on the bluetooth antenna, click Search Device and select the keyboard from the list of available devices.

Charging the Keyboard Battery

To charge the keyboard battery, plug one end of the included Mini USB-to-USB cable into the keyboard, and plug the other end into included power supply. Plug the power supply into the power outlet. It may take up to 3 hours to fully charge the Keyboard Battery.

Safety Warning WOR(l)D SPACE LUMINA

LUMINA has been designed and manufactured according to the highest quality and safety standards.However, save and follow these safeguards to prevent injury and material damage:• Do not use LUMINA for the purposes other than described in the package• Do not immerse in water• Do not disassemble LUMINA• Use supplied dry microfiber cloth to clean LUMINA when needed• Use genuine accessories originally designed and manufactured for LUMINA• Do not use or leave LUMINA near any heat sources such as radiators, stoves, amplifiers or other items that produce heat. Do not leave

LUMINA inside the vehicle under the hot sun.

LUMINA is powered by lithium-ion batteries that can EXPLODE, CATCH FIRE and/or CAUSE BURNS if disassembled, punctured, cut, crushed, short-circuited, incinerated, or exposed to water, fire, or high temperatures. Batteries must be disposed of and/or recycled according to local laws and regulations. Stop using your LUMINA if you notice that the battery is swollen or deformed.

LUMINA contains magnets and should be kept away from the persons with any metallic, electronic or magnet.It may cause radio interference and should be used in compliance with local laws and regulations.

This product has been designed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements set out in Article 4 of RoHS2 Directive 2011/65/EU. WOR(l)D reserves all intellectual property rights to LUMINA and grants no other licenses, rights, or data of any kind. WOR(l)D prohibits reverse engineering or deconstruction of LUMINA for any purpose.

How do the Lumina Glasses work?Lumina’s glasses are like a high-performance tablet computer integrated into a pair of five-ounce sunglasses with a binocular display system. Think of this as a transparent 65-inch TV set 10 feet away that allows the user to see content - such as video, web, graphics, and text - without blocking the real world.The system is controlled by high performance, octacore mobile processors, built-in WiFi for connectivity to the web or other networks, and Bluetooth for data transfer and use of accessories like Lumina’s Bluetooth Keyboard. Positional sensors tell the system where it is and where it’s looking (GPS, and multi-axis magnetometer), along with a high resolution, FullHD camera to capture and track the environment.

Can I connect a mouse or keyboard to the product?Yes you can use a mouse and keyboard using a USB 2.0 or Bluetooth 3.0 connection.Note: For a USB 2.0 connection, you can use the OTG (On–The–Go) USB hub included.

Do the Lumina glasses allow for additional Bluetooth devices?Yes, the glasses use the standard Android supported bluetooth profiles. Therefore, most mouse, keyboards, joysticks, audio headsets, speakers, and RFCOMM compliant devices will work. How can I connect the Bluetooth Keyboard?Step 1: Switch the keyboard on. The power switch is to the side, left of the connect button. The power LED will now glow. Step 2: Press the connect button (left of status LED). The Bluetooth LED will flash and the device is ready for connection. The keyboard is now

ready for connection with the tablet or smartphone. Step 3: Open the settings menu on your Lumina via the app menu. Step 4: Choose “Bluetooth”. If switched off, activate it. If Bluetooth is active the menu will display a keyboard named “Android keyboard“. Choose this device. Step 5: The Lumina will now display a code to connect. Insert the code via the keyboard and confirm with the Return key. The connection will now be securely encoded. Step 6: Wireless keyboard is now connected successfully to the Lumina.Once successfully connected, the keyboard saves all connection data until connected to another device. Now you can use touchpad and keyboard with your Lumina.

Can I change the keyboard language?To set the bluetooth keyboard layout Open the settings menu on your Lumina via the app menu, choose in “Settings/Language and Input” gear icon behind “Android keyboard” and then “Input Languages”. Remove the check mark behind “language system” in order to use different keyboard layouts with the Bluetooth keyboard, then you can select all the languages you want.

How do I download/install Apps?Google Play Store is currently enabled for application installation and management.To install an application on the device, you can use also USB storage transfer, file manager install, email attachment or web download.Lumina has plans to open in a future a Wor(l)d App Store to enable developers to sell and distribute applications.

How do you put content on or take video/pics off the glasses?Via USB is the easiest. Use the supplied OTG USB hub.

What movie formats are compatible with the glasses?You can use all the video container format but It depends on what encoder you have used to generate the video file. The video needs to be encoded with either H263 or h264 avc.The following link provides all the media formats supported by android which are also supported by the Lumina Glasses. http://developer.android.com/guide/appendix/media-formats.html

How long will the glasses run on internal batteries?Run time varies depending on the use case. Applications have very different power requirements.Average run time for general use is about 1 hour and half with built-in batteries (1100 mAh in total) and around 4 hours with external battery pack included in the bag.

Can I connect the Lumina Glasses to the TV or to another display system?If your TV or other display support WiFi Miracast Yes you can connect the Glasses using WiFi enabling Wireless Display.

Listening to the AudioIf you wish to listen to the audio, you have two ways:

• listen to the audio through the bone conduction stereo system located in the middle of each temple D ;

• plug both included LUMINA earbuds into audio jacks located on the bottom of each temple E . Please be sure to connect the left earbud to the Left audio jack and the right earbud to the Right audio jack.

How do I adjust the color or brightness of an image?You can set them in the setting panel.You can also sett some different Gamma values to improve the brightness.

Can I use the product anywhere?Please follow the precautions below: • Do not wear this product while driving a car, riding a motor bike or bicycle, cooking, or

preforming any other dangerous tasks. Doing so may result in accident or injury.• Do not use this product in unstable locations such as stairs or at altitude. Also, do not

use the product while walking in locations where there is a lot of traffic or where it is dark. Doing so may result in accident or injury.

• Be aware of your surroundings while walking and viewing images from the product at the same time. Being too focused on the image can result in accidents, falls, and collisions with other people.

• When viewing in dark locations, it is difficult to see your surroundings due to the brightness of the image. Be aware of your surroundings.

• When using this product in small locations, be aware of your surroundings.• Do not use the product in locations where it may get wet or is subject to humidity such

as in a bath or shower. Doing so may result in fire or electric shock.

What is the Glasses Field-of-View?The displays in our Lumina glasses boast a 30-degree Field-of-View--the largest FOV currently available. Think of this as a transparent 65-inch TV set 10 feet.

What resolution does the product display?1060 x 600 pixels.

How do I change the screen size on the product?You can change the size of the screen depending on the distance from your point of view. If your point of view is in the distance, it will feel as if the screen is in the distance and larger. If your point of view is in close, it will feel as if the screen is close and smaller. The sense of size for the screen varies depending on the individual.

What is the Contrast Ratio of the Lumina Glasses?Our displays system is currently over 200:1, and we are aiming for higher contrast ratios in future versions.

Does the display brightness automatically adjust?Yes. If auto brightness is enabled (see Settings->Display->Brightness), it responds to the ambient brightness as viewed through the display’s Field-of-View.You can also sett some different Gamma values to improve the brightness.Caution: It is difficult to see all of your surroundings while viewing with the product. Do not leave fragile items in your immediate surroundings, and do not move around while wearing the product

Can I view steroescopic images with my product? No, now you cannot view 3D images that are in a side–by–side format.

How do I adjust the nose pads?To provide comfort for the wearer as well as to adjust the glasses fit for optimum viewing of the displays, the nose bridge may be adjusted left and right.To install nose pads, carefully stretch them over the nose bridge clips.After any adjustment gently wipe the camera off with the supplied Microfiber Cleaning Cloth.

A blue light is displayed near the camera. What does this mean?See the table below: • one time blue light: power on• fixed blue light: on charge when Lumina are powered off• flashing blue light without cable: battery low• flashing blue light with cable: on charge when Lumina are powered on and in standby mode

What can I do with the product?You can do the following:• Capture movies and still images and read QR codes• Connect wirelessly to a Miracast device. This allows you to stream movies from a smartphone to

the product, or stream movies from the product to a TV• Download and use apps• Navigate Augmented Reality in facilities where AR services are available• Setup an email account, then send, receive, and view email• View websites

• View movies copied from a computer to the product• View content on a “floating” 80–inch perceived screen• Listen to music• Interact with your surroundings while viewing content• Work on documents, spreadsheet and presentation.

What type of applications can be used on the product?All Android applications can be used. There may be display issues since the smartphone and Lumina use different displays. In fact u can experience the apps only in landscape view mode.

Why does it take the product a long time to acquire my location?Depending on the environment, there may be a delay in acquiring your location information. If possible, avoid buildings and other structures to effectively use the GPS function on the product.

How do you get glasses to show up on a Apple MAC without installing Android File Manager?It is currently not possible to use USB without Android File Manager on a Apple MAC; however, iPhoto supports Camera photo transfer protocol (PTP) for photos (See below).Android devices (including Lumina) support Media Transfer Protocol (MTP), which is natively supported by Windows and Linux. On Apple Mac, MTP is not natively supported, but you can install Android File Transfer App: https://www.android.com/intl/en_us/filetransfer/ which then supports it. When you plug the glasses in via the standard Mag to Standard A USB cable, a Android File Manager window pops open with the files/directories on the glasses exposed. Now you can drag and drop files to and from your MAC file manager.Note: For a USB 2.0 connection, you can use the OTG (On–The–Go) USB hub

What is the difference between the Lumina Glasses and Google Glass?Google Glass is a monocular type device with enhanced camera and video shooting capabilities. It is intended for use with a smartphone.The Lumina Glasses is a binocular type device. It allows users to view digital content in a large-screen format by connecting with smartphones and various other types of equipment. It can accommodate AR (Augmented Reality) applications due to its high binocular see-through format and compatibility.

What is the main difference between the Lumina and the Sony MZ–T2/3?The Lumina has a see-through display, while the Sony MZ–T2/3 is a total absorption type (full and closed) product. With the Lumina, users can see their surroundings while viewing an image on the display. Sony’s product enables individuals to enjoy watching movies and gaming entertainment at home. The Lumina is a mobile, digital content viewer that can be used virtually anywhere. It’s lightweight, portable, and enables users to maintain their view of the external world.

Can I use the Corrective Lenses with Lumina?Yes. Optional Corrective Lenses are available for users who wear glasses and provided in the Lumina accessories pack.
