Interior view of three women preparing meals in the kitchen at the new female division of the Brisbane Prison. The kitchen is 'most admirably appointed. It is fitted with three large coppers, set in brick and cement, water being supplied to each from a separate tap. The range is a fine double-oven range by Lupton, and is fitted with a patent double coil hot water apparatus, which supplies hot water to all parts of the building. Two large double-handled refuse bins are provided, and substantial wooden tables' (Information taken from: The Queenslander, 28 November, 1903).
