Who? This app is for people who want to record their sporting data, e.g. what your heart rate is

What? To track how far you’ve travelled to a destination on physical transport, e.g. bike,

skateboard

When? This app is useful when you are determined to burn off some calories by going on a planned

route on physical transport.

Where? Outside.

Why? Because it helps you know how much weight you’ve lost or how far you have travelled.

Key insight statementsPeople who don’t know how far they’ve gone on physical transport currently try to use stopwatches, but this doesn’t work, because they don’t precisely know how far they have gone. Our key insight is people need a way of knowing how far they have went using a mini GPS to help them overcome their frustrating problem

Business ModelBusiness case

Who benefits from your app?

Main target user People who intend to record their data on physical transport, e.g. bike, scooter, skateboard, skiers, runners, or horse-riders. (Mostly ages 18-50.)

Others who benefit People who are bored of riding the same route over and over again.

People who own health/gym areas, etc could set their students targets on physical transport. Also, schools could use the app if there is an event on.

Our business model All users pay Some users pay

Yes

Somebody else pays

My team’s app SmartSport will operate a business model in which all users pay/ some users pay / somebody else pays.

My team has identified that some users are willing to pay, because after paying extra money, you can unlock new features, such as showing your precise location, a GPS to navigate you on a route that you have selected on the app and a sport/weight diary to show how far you have rode or how much calories you have burnt.
