YOUR CASTLE OR VICTORIAN HOUSE… In this drawing you must utilize the principles of design to create a castle or Victorian house.
1. Use the templates and a series of basic shapes to develop your building façade. The building façade must have at least 2 main sections with roofs tops.
2. Create symmetrical balance through the use of a grand main entranceway.
3. Install at least 8 windows across your building.
4. Utilize pattern through the use of bricks, shingles, and sidings across the façade.
5. Create variety and repetition by adding additional design elements throughout the façade. Consider railings, window seals, flags, arches etc.
6. Create movement across the composition with the addition of a color stripe. At least 2in. wide.
7. Utilize contrast, unity, variety, line, and shape through the thoughtful use of ink outside of the stripe and add emphasis with the use of value and color inside of the stripe.
