BREAKING THE MOULD
2012
Octagon brought the Breaking The Mould (BTM) initiative to South Africa
and teamed up with Student Village to take it to campus and the youth
Specifically aimed at female students, BTM aims to uplift,
empower and develop young talent across the world
In South Africa, female
students were asked to
give their own BTM stories
in order to be invited to
one of two campus talks
Jenna Clifford spoke at the BTM
event at the University of
Johannesburg.
Jenna offered 5 mentorship
opportunities to female
students
Adv Brenda Madumise spoke at the BTM
event at the North West University.
Brenda offered 5 mentorship or internship
opportunities to female students
Students grabbed at the opportunity and were treated to an intimate
engagement with two of incredible female leaders of industry
Stories and experiences were shared, students were empowered and 10 lucky
female students walked away with an internship/mentorship opportunity
with either Jenna Clifford of Adv Brenda Madumise
