Starter #2 Today we are going to examine the three main learning styles that people rely on naturally or instinctively.

On a sheet of paper, make a prediction (a reasonable guess) of which of these three learning styles is the one you lean toward naturally. The choices are:

VisualAuditoryKinesthetic (or Tactile)

Now let’s find out with an online assessment if your hunch was correct!

Starter #3 At this time, let’s have each of you get a Chromebook.

We are all going to the same website. Here’s one way to find it: On a Google search engine, key in “Learning Styles Inventory” The second entry that comes up is the one we want. It begins with: http://www.personal.psu.edu

Or, if you want to go directly to the site, carefully key in this address: http://www.personal.psu.edu/bxb11/LSI/LSI.htm

The website is titled “Learning Styles Inventory” and it has 24 questions. Respond to each of those questions and see what your L.S. is. Were you correct with the initial guess you made?

Starter #4 After you determine your learning style, come up to the Smartboard and write your name under your particular L.S. Then see all the names listed under your Learning Style and pairup with one of the students who shares the same L.S. as you.

Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (or Tactile)

Before we do that, however, let me show you the two assignments you and your partner need to complete together this period.
