About SWC

Our Club operates under the guidance of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, a non-partisan, non-denominational service organization operating in 20 countries around the world.

New Member Project:Baby Shower for Whispering Hope

Recent Projects

New SWC members completed a special project to host a shower and provide baby care supplies for expectant mothers at Whispering Hope Women’s Resource & Pregnancy Center.

Food Rescue

Recent Projects

In partnership with the Gwinnett Braves and United Way, SWC donated funds to purchase a refridgeratedtruck for Feed the Hungry Forsyth.

The truck “recsues” unused perishable foods from restaurants, caterers and grocers and delivers it to local food pantries.

Special Olympics

Recent Projects

SWC volunteers support young athletes with special needs at Special Olympics each spring.

Culture for Kids

Recent Projects

Boys from The Bald Ridge Lodge went with SWC volunteers to dinner and participated in a live theatrical performance at Agatha’s Mystery Dinner Theatre.

Conservation Education

Recent Projects

SWC’s Conservation Department rewards local teachers for supporting recycling and conservation concepts in the classroom.

SWC volunteers worked with local children to collect and stuff stockings with gifts for seniors.

Forsyth County elementary school students receive supplies from SWC and compete in an annual art contest.

SWC volunteers clean up a 1-mile stretch of Marketplace Boulevard in partnership with Keep Forsyth County Beautiful.

Membership Requirements

Live, work or have interests in Forsyth County

Registered voter

Be recommended for membership and sponsored by a current member

Attend New Member Orientation (August 2014)

Pay annual dues ($80)

Attend at least 6 of 9 monthly meetings

2014-2015 Club Year

Membership Requirements

Serve in at least one Department

Perform 10 service hours, including New Member Project, by December 31, 2014

Perform at least 30 service hours between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2016

Contribute to annual fundraiser by securing at least one silent auction item, purchasing ticket and attending event
