5. ADVISORS AND THE TRANSFER STUDENT Academic Advisors can view
accepted courses on Banner(SHATERM) or MyCSU. Advisors create a
folder for each of their advisees. The check sheet is the primarily
tool for determining the studentsprogress toward degree
completion.
6. ADVISORS AND THE TRANSFERSTUDENT To determine which
checksheet is needed, advisors shouldcheck SZADARQ in Banner for
the students catalog year(CATYR). Use the checksheet in effect
during the students catalog yearin Banner. For example, if the
students catalog year is Fall 2013, theappropriate checksheet is
the one in effect Fall 2013, not the mostcurrent. Students have a
total of eight calendar years in which tocomplete the degree
requirements for graduation. Studentswho take longer than eight
years from the date of initialenrollment to graduate will be
subject to degree requirementsof the current catalog. Checksheets
are available from the students major department.
