Target Audience Profile

The reader of Deadlines magazine is a female between the ages of 16 and 23 who is either in sixth form, university or is a university graduate who is in a creative profession. She is intelligent as she is studying Journalism at university or she is an assistant photographer for a thriving magazine. She is mature and can be fun and relaxed when she is around friends. She is confident, speaks her mind and has a great sense of humour which makes her the ideal person to be around; however she is currently single but is searching for the right guy to make her happy in her later life. She is very down to earth and laid back so she doesn’t take life too seriously.

She is an avid explorer and enjoys spending her leisure time outside. She likes to travel around central London seeing the sights, landmarks and cityscapes but also enjoys going into forests and the countryside to see landscapes. She doesn’t go anywhere without her Nikon camera so if she comes across something exciting in her day she can easily document it for later on. This adds to her love of Instagram which she uses to upload pictures that she takes. She doesn’t typically buy other magazines but can occasionally pick up Elle magazine to find out about the latest fashion trends and secrets. She is always on the internet either on social networking sites to interact with her friends or with people who have similar interests to her.

Music is very important in her day as she can use it to escape from the struggles of daily life or to simply pass the time. She specifically loves Indie Rock music and especially the artists that make their songs have meaning such as The Civil Wars, Lana Del Rey and Jaymes Young. She likes when artists sing about their personal experiences as she can relate to them. She enjoys watching comedy and adventure films such as The Hunger Games, 22 Jump Street or Bad Neighbours.

She owns various technologies such as an iPhone and iPad to keep up to date and current. She is an avid internet user and regularly updates her blog to keep her followers up to date and current. She uses her phone to download music online so that she can access it easily when she is on the go.

She values her family very much even though she doesn’t see them often because she lives a distance away from them but she still relies on them for

guidance. She believes that everything happens for a reason in life and that she is on a set path to whatever she chooses to do in the future. She would use my magazine for the latest news on Indie Rock artists that she likes and for information on whether they are having a gig in her area or just to find out the latest news on them and their whereabouts. She does not regularly go to gigs but will attend one if it is in her area.
