Hours of Operation 8:00-3:00 everyday Special requests for resources

Email Denise at least 24 hours prior Books/DVDs can be left in your box or

send a student to pick them up

Faculty Circulation Policies All items due June 2011 for inventory No limit to the number of items

borrowed If item is needed by someone, the

library will recall it from you DOE and school manuals will be

delivered to you soon. Keep in your classrooms

Library Catalog Search for books on the computer

• Click on Search for Books tab

• Click on “Destiny Quest”• Type in the author, title, or subject

Accelerated Reader Program All grade 2-6 classrooms Students will be tested at the beginning

of the year for STAR level STAR test will be administered quarterly

Library Closed for Students

Library is open for borrowing for teachers

Library classes will begin in August Date will be announced as we finish

DIBELS testing and processing books

Library Classes

Every other week Schedule will come out soon, IRAs will create

Lower grades K-2 20 minute lesson/story 10 minutes borrowing Shelf markers should be provided with students’ names

Upper grades 3-6 30 minute lesson/research

Library folders will be provided 10 minutes borrowing

Open slots available for research opportunities for classes

Recess Library open for students with passes

Each classroom should have 2 Email Denise if you need additional passes

Students can Borrow books Take AR tests Go on the internet with teacher note specifying

topic of study

Student Circulation Policies Grades K-1

Borrow one book Grades 2-6

Borrow up to 3 items Borrowing period- two weeks Students cannot borrow until they return

all overdue books

AV Equipment Email or call Denise for

Set up of equipment Troubleshooting/Repair Requests for new equipment (PO usually

done at the end of school year)

Equipment in all classrooms DVD/VCR Player CD Player TV Paper Cutter Digital Projector Digital Presenters

You must be trained before using see Denise for training sessions

Lost/Damaged Textbooks & Supplies Email me or send the student to the library I will write the bill and make a copy for the

office Student pays in the office Student will show you a receipt to show they paid

Due within 10 days of school Keep in your files for end of year
