Toys and dolls
3+1
So what were they?
Our parent’s toy quantity was not so big, but they were very lovely and the most favourite.
Generally, girls had dolls, boys cars and yes, weapons
But were they interesting?
Oh yes, they were. Girls’ dolls were very detailed, every small girl could buy or ever sew a new dress for a doll. Usually girls from one house were exchanging dresses.
So, your parents had only girl-shaped dolls?
Of course not. Our parents also had dolls made from rubber, which had very ranged shapes. For example, dogs, cats, pigs and mice.
Only dolls? What about boy toys?
Our boys had very wide range of toy-cars. Trucks, cars, tractors, buses – all were available for boys. Also, our guys had many types of military-vehicles.
Only small vehicles?
No! Rich parents could buy for their kid one big car, which they could drive! And even these cars had wide range of types! And not only for boys, girls also could find a car suitable for them.
You’ve said about weapons!?
Toy-weapons were the most popular toy of past. Every kid wanted to try to be the policemen, who works for nation’s wealth. Also weapons were popular because of post war time.
And no… These weapons hadn’t had bullets in them. They had suckers, which sticked to the walls, or even burglar’s jacket!
Only toys? Were kids only playing?
Surely not. Kids of the USSR had vary many logical toys, like domino, mosaics or even Rubik’s cube.
Only toys? And no technologies?
What? Kids had very many electronic games! All they were made by Soviet company „Electronica“. Kids were very happy to play these electronic games, and every kid understood, how developed was USSR in this area.
The most popular game was „Nu Pogodi“ game, where wolf needed to catch eggs, dropped by chicken!
