The canine star of hit comedy movie, It’s a Dog’s Life, was finally discovered yesterday peering out of the window of a closed branch of Pet Planet in Milton. Barney had been missing for two weeks and his owners were extremely concerned for his welfare. It is thought that the golden retriever had snuck inside the disused building and got stuck when the door closed behind him!

Barney went missing while filming his next movie, Dogs on Patrol, at the Pineley Movie Studios near Milton. On October 21st his owners, Wally and Wendy Woofton, recorded a heartfelt plea for information about the missing dog. This went viral on social media and was shared over25 million times. Fans of the pampered pooch were devastated by the news of the missing mutt.
