THE QUEST FOR THE HOLY GRAIL:CLOSING THE CIRCLE OF SPIRITUALITY

ABSTRACT

This paper is not about King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table; albeit, indirectly it is in order to put a nomenclature to the hero’s quest that is replete throughout the many source materials in the sacred scriptures and in the world at large, which explains tersely and succinctly, for the Western Culture, its allegorical pattern. The Arthurian legends of the Holy Grail had to have their origins from some initial source material but what that was could not actually be fathomed, at least by me, outside of the Christian traditions; though, it did become quickly obvious, in my analysis of the material at hand, that the Arthurian legends existed in all times and climes under numerous and disparate mythological disguises throughout the world. When I originally started this article I did not have the Holy Grail in mind. I was trying to explain three different scriptural sources plus one ancient American Indian religious site that explains allegorically and symbolically closing the Circle of Spirituality. As I entered into the depths of my researches I realized that I could confidently discuss, somewhat, the psyche as taught by Carl G. Jung relating to the several scriptural descriptions of closing the Circle of Spirituality. Apparently, the ancient scribes understood the psyche’s construct similar if not with a greater understanding than how the Jungian community understands it. This of course is a stunning revelation to say the least about it; though, I had known for some years that the bible was a study of the psyche I had no idea of the comparative studies that could be undergone in relationship to the bible and Jungian Analytical Psychology. This suggestion should include all the world’s religions and mythologies. If that idea could take hold in the academic and psychological communities around the world, the world will realize it has an oceanic reservoir in which to plumb the depths of the psyche on a totally scientific level: mathematically, symbolically, mythologically, grammatically and psychologically with a host of other disciplines to augment the process. Indeed the world would rediscover Antiquity’s Hall of Records.

The advantages of having so many biblical source materials scripturally outlining the same spiritual topic and several outside sources with the same genre of thought in mind allows for a simultaneous comparative analysis between them all: all of them using different symbols and allegorical disguises to discuss the same psychic and spiritual processes. When I began to go deeply into the analysis of all the source materials in the sacred scriptures that were available for my immediate considerations my mind span what I knew of modernity present understanding of these scriptural materials I was dealing with. I was psychologically taken aback by what they didn’t know nor could they possibly comprehend with their present state of awareness.

What I had discovered was beyond cavil. I had found, embedded esoterically and symbolically in the Judeao Christian scriptures, the original Mystery School text books, hidden in plain sight, scribed by the ancient Egyptian and Greek sages. What better way for antiquity to send it’s most precious and sacred teachings into the future then to place them amongst the profane to cherish as their sacred literature. The profane would of course read and study these works from a purely fundamental perspective; however, whether self-initiated or instructed the initiate would see these texts from a whole new psychological perspective. That is the raison d’être of the sacred literature, artworks and monuments around the world. The sacred literature, artworks and monuments around the world are not presented in this manner because some sages determined this mode of presenting the Word of God; rather, the

INTRODUCTION

Below I have inserted an explanation of the Genesis Formula, which I discovered out of the first word of Genesis: BERESHITH. This is derived from the 10 x 10 matrix: UNIVERSAL MATHEMATICAL MATRIX: Prima Materia (Perennial Matrix): however, there is a lot more to be analyzed here.

First of all BERESHITH is not the first word of Genesis though that is what is seen with the physical eyes. BERESHITH symbolizes spiritual perfection: essentially it represents a direct vision from God, which is basically a new raison d’être given to the soul/psyche. This is what actually takes place when the Circle of Spirituality is closed as in a protective mystical circle and I will explain how that happens as I continue. BERESHITH is the WORD that Saint John is talking about in the prologue of his gospel1.

With the physical eyes the alphanumeric structure of the Genesis Formula is seen to have ten numbers/letters (one letter/number is used twice): there are actually thirteen letters/numbers in the overall construct of this Genesis Formula. The other three will be discussed below.

BETH is the first alphanumeric letter/number/word in the written Torah. It represents the number two (2) and is symbolically designated as a house (container), which displaces the realm of God: the empyrean (number one: MONAD). When studying the word BETH through Gematria it is shown to have three letters: Beth-Yud-Tav, which totals to 412, a transposition of these numbers 1, 2 and 4, denotes it as representing the birth of consciousness. Yud is positioned in the center of its own Dyson Sphere; because, Yud symbolically represents the sun (ego), which resides in the center of the psyche (solar system). The ego is the LIGHT and the god of the material world. If it was up to BETH the TORAH would end at the first letter/word: because it is masculine and it has nothing to do with the feminine (moon = unconscious). As far as the patriarchal society is concern any change from this is heresy.

The word BERESHITH, which is a hybrid of two letters/numbers/words: BETH and RESH. When studying the letters/numbers in the word RESH (Resh-Aleph-Shin) it is seen that ALEPH (moon) is in the center pointing to a Lunar Centric Solar System within its own Dyson Sphere. “That is ridiculous”, says the academic (ego = sun) in all of us, “there can’t be a lunar centric solar system”2; however, all mythology 1 John 1:1-42 The sun = ego says this because it is the only light in the world and it doesn’t have to pay attention to that beamless orb (moon). If you think about it you will realize that the sun does not even see the moon. How; therefore, can the ego see beyond itself? The moon only radiates back the sun’s own light. She (moon) is not there as far as the sun is concerned. From the ego’s perspective it is impossible for anybody else to have an opinion. The female as far as the ego is concerned is a nonperson; whereas, from the woman’s perspective she is

is written to be ridiculous seeing it has a higher spiritual import. The amalgamation of the two letters/words BETH and RESH into one word: BERESHITH is the spiritual formation of the Vesica Piscis through the extrapolation of the Genesis Formula: two interlocking circles: behold the Garden of Eden.

This is analogous to the cooperation of ego-consciousness (sun = light) with the unconscious mind (moon = darkness)3. This would all be in reverse if the READER was a woman (in her world the Sun is feminine and the Moon is masculine); nonetheless, in real time the masculine forces his viewpoints upon the woman because she lives in the masculine world. This is why the material man will never get to know what woman is about.

Look at the letter BETH, with or without it being spelt out: this is the human race’s entire mental state of existence (consciousness): heliocentric (egocentric): ‘There shall be no other gods before me”. That is all well and good until the ego beat itself into a neurotic or a psychotic mess. It cannot be said that the

the sun and the moon (masculine) is her whole world. This is why the matriarchal society gives equality to the masculine. Now, it can be envisage why the world is set up in the manner in which it is. Humans imitate the symbolism of the solar system and are totally unaware of this phenomenology. This is why the masculine (ego) dictates to the bible; rather, than reading it and trying to understand what it is saying. If each letter of the bible was seen as a ray of the sun then each letter must be studied to understand what it means in relationship to the surrounding texts.3 This is ‘somewhat’ analogous to a man and a woman instantaneously falling in love through physical attraction. The two amalgamate into one and find themselves equal to each other; however, this state of bliss cannot be maintained because the two have not worked out a viable philosophy on life to live by. They barely know each other’s idiosyncrasies. When they do they don’t like each other and are forced by circumstances to tolerate each other until they do work out a viable agreement between themselves or they get a divorce.

world beats the ego into submission seeing that the world is the ego. Each human being approaches the world with every thought, word and deed via the harsh dictates of its taskmaster4: the ego5.

Eventually ego-consciousness has to recognize the unconscious in some way, shape or form. The ego is incapable of living and maintaining life in the material world without that interplay with the unconscious mind. Most people will not consciously recognize it but will inadvertently work with the unconscious mind using other methods such as writing and/or studying the philosophers or religion. There are a host of methods including the arts and vocations that enable the individual to relate to his or her unconscious: thus the word BERESHITH (amalgamation of BETH and RESH) has its place in the Torah without being a direct spiritual influence. In fact the Genesis Formula, which is merely an extrapolation of four additional letters/numbers from what is known (Bereshith’s six letters/numbers) to what is possible (Genesis Formula = ten letters/numbers).

However, knowing the Genesis Formula is there is one thing connecting it to the matrix is another. For example: knowing there is a God is not necessarily having a direct communion with God. Also the letter/number BETH is surrounded and inundated by the 17th letter of the Hebrew alphabet: PEI, which is not commonly known: it fact it is a rarely known nuance to exist in the text.

“Around the big Beth of ראשיתב [BERESHITH] (the first word in the account of Creation, the beginning of Torah) is hidden, in the white of the parchment, an even bigger PEI, “mouth,” whose thirty-two teeth are the thirty-two Names of Elohym6 of Creation7.”

That absence of knowing that fact, alone, prevents most people from understanding spirituality in the Torah. For symbolically it means that the unconscious mind is not known to exist. Yes, we may individually work with the unconscious mind from numerous venues but this does not mean that the unconscious mind is actually known to exist: hence the Hebrew letter PEI is hidden esoterically.

The Israelites egos got the better of them thinking they had become more powerful than all of the armies of Egypt so they decided to separate themselves from their union with Egypt. The death of Joseph (symbolically going from being a spiritual Egyptian back to his family’s clannish egocentric mentality) was analogous to breaking the magic circle, which allowed them to flee Egypt. Goshen is symbolic to the red disc (see image of Cygnus X1 below) and Egypt is symbolic in the story to the spiritual superstar. The ego became a harsh taskmaster because the Israelites no longer took pleasure in their responsibilities towards themselves. What was the Garden of Eden became Hell once that magic protective circle was broken. Look at the great difficulty that Moses had with the Israelites not wanting to see God themselves. The Israelites sent Moses to deal with their spiritual responsibilities.5 If the ego tells the psyche it is an alcoholic then the world of alcohol is that person’s Garden of Eden and Yahweh (ego) will be an unforgiving god if the alcoholic dared not drink to inebriation each day. For in the day that the alcoholic stops drinking alcohol (the holy beverage) he will sober up and be expelled from the Garden of Eden and he will become an asset to the community: an anathema in the eyes of Yahweh (ego); however, Yahweh will again get his claws into the psyche once again through another vice if he or she has not taken up the spiritual quest.6 I have shown in other articles and writings that these 32-Elohyms are spread out through the first chapter of Genesis transforming into the graphic images of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life and/or the Star of David.7 THE HEBREW LETTERS: Channels of Creative Consciousness (pg. 256), by Rabbi Yitzchak Ginsburgh, published by Gal Einai Publications, Jerusalem 1990 (This book has been published in the Diaspora as: THE ALEF-BEIT: Jewish Thought Revealed through the Hebrew Letters)

PEI has the numerical value of eighty (80); however, its Gematria value is eighty-one (81) because PEI is spelt Pei-Aleph (80 + 1). This is apropos because the creation of the Kamea of the Moon is PEI (80) plus spirituality (1). Pei represents the unconscious mind (moon): the opposite of the ego (sun). The KAMEA OF THE MOON is the union of the spiritual with the unconscious mind, which creates what is called the Collective Unconscious8: the ‘ground of being’9 that creates the objective universe that humanity collectively lives upon. The ego is what creates the subjective reality: these two (ego and unconscious) opposing each other is what causes all conflicts in the world. This is why the ancient scribes gave PEI the Gematria value of eighty-one; because, it represents the objective Prima Materia (Perennial Matrix). The reason I color coded the first number one blue was to point to it as being symbolic of the MONAD that exuded the matrix. The matrix is a phantasm because it doesn’t exist. It is there for human consideration; however, in and of itself it is nonexistent. Yes, you can declare, “It exists, I can empirically work with it”; whereas, I say, “It is in your mind and intrinsically it doesn’t really exist outside of your psyche”. Even in the psyche, if you reach that depth of understanding, the matrix is merely a conceptual idea to aid the soul in working out its psychological problems and to live and enjoy live in the Garden of Eden.

The moment that it is realized that PEI has the numerical value of eighty one (81) it immediate infers the magic square called the Kamea of the Moon (9 x 9 square)10: that is a given. Note how the odd number (masculine) magic squares are easy to decipher in the very same manner ad infinitum; whereas, the even number (feminine) magic squares are far more difficult to decipher because there are several or

Yes, the psyche is a continuous never-ending vortex; however, it cannot be that way unless the ego fuels it with its activity. It is the amalgamation of several or more parts of this infinite Prima Materia (Perennial Matrix), which conjures up the infinite archetypal images in the psyche of the individual.9 This is why in every Masonic Temple there is a checkerboard pattern on the floor because it is denoting the ground of being. This is not just symbolic in the psyche. The whole universe is patterned after this matrix. City residential streets are automatically (psychically) patterned after this matrix without the city architects knowing it: this psychic matrix is the New Jerusalem that Saint John speaks of in his Revelations. Walk out your door and behold the fact that you are living in the Garden of Eden and you have no idea that you are doing it.10 Even Dante Alighieri in his La Divina Commedia used the Kamea of the Moon as illustrated in the accompanied image, in formatting the mathematics esoterically into the compositional structure of the poem’s trilogy. more ways each of them can be formatted magically to obtain the same numerical total in all directions: horizontally, vertically and diagonally. This is the same way the male find himself dealing with the female in the material world: she like the unconscious is unfathomable; whereas, the male is predictable in his reasoning linearly. This is the reason why odd number magic squares are easier to decipher.

From the Multiplication Tables up to nine it can be envisaged that anything beyond nine is redundancy; however, a study of the nine Multiplication Tables: Casting-out Nines will shows that an extra column and row of nines would create a perfect 10 x 10 matrix viewing it from all four sides. This can further be envisaged if the redundancy of numbers was allowed beyond the number nine ad infinitum. The 10 x 10 matrix would be whole beyond the first; hence, the creation of the UNIVERSAL MATHEMATICAL MATRIX: Prima Materia (Perennial Matrix).

Finally, what is most important to grasp on this point concerning PEI is that all of it is prior to the writing of the first written letter of the Torah: BETH. PEI is not known to exist yet because it is esoteric: hidden from the ego; thus, the student of the Bible that comes across this knowledge has entered into an infinite realm of being having initially no idea of its existence. It is as if, for all intent and purpose, the individual that makes this kind of discovery has entered into another world that has nothing to do with the mundane world of commerce and materialism he or she has been living in since birth.

PEI is the eleventh letter in the Genesis Formula as Joseph was the eleventh son of Jacob. PEI is the 17 th

letter of the Hebrew Alphabet as Joseph was seventeen (17) years of age when he was sold to Egypt 11. Just as Joseph couldn’t do anything with his brothers without the full complement of twelve neither can the initiate do anything with the first word of Genesis unless he or she knows how to proceed. So Joseph sends his other ten brothers (Genesis Formula) back to get Benjamin, which was the twelfth son of Jacob. As soon as Joseph embraced Benjamin the twelfth letter QOPH in the Genesis Formula was formed closing and locking the magic circle of twelve in place. The whole of Egypt rejoice is seeing that Joseph was reunited with his family and this is before Jacob came into Egypt.

The letter PEI and BETH symbolizes Joseph and his brother Simeon (the second son) respectively. Note how Joseph bounds Simeon to a prison12 in order to coerce his other nine brothers to bring the younger brother Benjamin to Egypt. It would seem that if the seventeenth letter PEI merges with the second letter BETH they would symbolically form the nineteenth letter QOPH (symbolizing Benjamin the twelfth son of Jacob): however, such an assumption would be false. The solution to this problem is the key to understanding the mystical manner in which the sacred scriptures must be read.

In the Zohar’s (mystical interpretation of the Torah) Prologue there is a tale narrating how all the Hebrew letters from the last (Tav) to the first (Aleph) are going into and out of creation for the sole purpose of choosing one of them to be the conduit of the material creation. Finally, BETH is chosen for this privilege; thus, it can be envisaged how nothing gets into the material world without going through the ego (Yahweh); whereas, on the other hand, how does one get out of creation when first having been molded into the image and likeness of BETH? Christ answers that question in the New Testament:

“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, then for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God13”.

If the reader will look again at the above chart of the Genesis Formula separating BERESHITH from the EMPYREAN he or she will see that QOPH is called the NEEDLE and GHIMMEL (third Hebrew letter) is called the CAMEL; thus, it can be envisaged through just the word BERESHITH and by extrapolation through the GENESIS FORMULA that the twenty-two (22) letters of the Hebrew alphabet come into creation from the last to the first and go out of creation from the last to the first. This is why BETH is written in a LARGE format indicating that BETH the egotistic man is too much of a big shot (rich man) to stoop14 down and go through the eye of the Needle (Qoph). Qoph does look like a needle with an eye in it. And the Hebrew letter that went through the needle (Qoph) before it was BETH’S turn was GHIMMEL THE CAMEL; therefore, the Genesis Formula is literally demonstrating two parallel universes: one material and one spiritual and between them is the unconscious mind: i.e. Hell (ego), Purgatory (unconscious mind) and Paradise (empyrean). The above has demonstrated that the union of PEI and BETH would not get BETH through the eye of the needle. Going through the eye of the needle infers a mystical function is at work and it is only in this manner that the third option: Transcendent Function (Eucharist) is possible. The third option is spirituality (Qoph). The first is the Ego (materialism) and the second is the unconscious mind (intellectualism) and neither one of these last two can bring the soul to a mystical state of being where it could lives in the Garden of Eden. The union of Pei and Beth forming a second Qoph is the desired goal.

When ego-consciousness (Simeon) willingly interplays with the unconscious mind (Joseph) the Jungian Transcendent Function15 comes into play (Catholics call this receiving the Holy Eucharist). The idea here is that neither the concepts of the unconscious mind nor those of the ego are acceptable; however, through a mystical dialogue a third option if offered up by the Transcendent Function: i.e. Christ (Eucharist) satisfying both the ego and the unconscious mind: both are ecstatically pleased. In the case

of Joseph bringing his brothers together Benjamin symbolized the culmination of the Catholic Mass when the wafer host is sanctified and is transubstantiated into the body and blood of Christ. This is why Joseph hid a ‘cup’ in Benjamin bag16; because, Benjamin symbolically represents the Eucharistic Chalice, which holds the body and blood of Christ. This is the only manner in which the Holy Grail can be found and possessed by the soul: this psychological drama between the material, psychic and spiritual realms is the source material of all Arthurian legends relating to the Holy Grail . This is symbolically why Christ came into the world allegorically in the age of Piscis because the twelfth house of Astrology symbolizes the Waters of Life and the Cup17 as in the Tarot Card’s suit.

When the twelfth son appeared instantaneously the zodiacal (magic) protective circle closes creating the thirteenth letter: a large ALEPH, which exudes the Eucharist. It is as if it opened up a portal to a parallel universe; albeit, a spiritual universe. A large ALEPH has the numerical value of one thousand (1000). This is very much like the Star of David appearing in the center of the Zodiac/Calendar year. This can only be achieved when the unconscious realm and the realm of the ego are in accord with each other. The modern day Zodiac/Calendar year still holds this Star of David18 in its midst and both the Zodiac and Calendar have to be working in synch to envisage it. The four months with 30-days (calendar) are sequenced in the numerical signs of the Zodiac; thus, the symbiosis between the two systems can be envisioned here. This is the Merkaba of Creation: tetrahedral forces in the universe gyrating creation into existence. This is all played out mathematically in the book of Genesis. Most of all this should be seen as being played out in the psyche projected out into the objective universe so that the individual can study it and learn how the psyche works in relationship to the spiritual forces in creation.

PEI is also known as the Oral Torah, which is revealed by the mouth; whereas, AYIN the sixteenth letter of the Hebrew alphabet is known as the Written Torah seen by the eye. Combining these two letters: PEI and AYIN (16 + 17 = 33) is behind the tradition of the final SEFIRAH19: DAAT adding to the 32-paths of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life fully outlined in the first chapter of Genesis or the exoteric and esoteric being combined forming the Vesica Piscis: Garden of Eden. This is why the Torah was known as heaven; because, symbolically the number thirty-three (33) is the beginning of the thawing of the frozen religious dogma (32° and below): 32° Fahrenheit represents freezing and above that begins the thawing process. I fully understand the Fahrenheit system is modern; however, nothing comes into the world unless it is ordained by God. Consider also consider that the 33° Mason is the higher a member can achieve; however, I see that more as a political position than anything else. The reason why I say this is because once the thawing process begins there is no longer a reason to belong to the Masonic Order.

To understand the formation of the large ALEPH all the letters of the word BERESHTH have to be understood. The last four letters of the Hebrew alphabet spell out the word CHRIST in Greek using Hebrew Letters: TAV (400)-SHIN (300)-RESH (200)-QOPH (100) = Krst. In looking at the Genesis Formula it can be seen that only the letters TAV-SHIN-RESH are present in the word BERESHITH. The letter YUD symbolically represents Yahweh and the letter ALEPH symbolically represents Elohym20. The only letter remaining is BETH, which is basically antichrist: the ego. When the ego consciously understands that it is knowingly working with the unconscious mind then the twelfth letter of the Genesis Formula: QOPH is formatted simultaneously closing the magic protective circle spelling out the word CHRIST and bringing down to earth the unity of the Trinity as seen in the empyrean side of the Genesis Formula: “As above so below”. The empyrean side of the Genesis Formula doesn’t exist other than to infer the existence of God: Trinity.

THE STORY OF JOSEPH AND HIS BROTHERS

Below there is going to be a detail analysis of the Joseph, Jacob’s eleventh son, story which spans about a third of the book of Genesis. Though every detail of Joseph’s story is not in chronological order all the facts that are needed to understand it are available throughout the story. I am not here giving a Mea Culpa because this is a very mystical story full of esoteric knowledge. At all times in the sacred scripture the reader has to be watchful for the sleight of hand. For example in telling one part of the story a clue can be drop and/or inserted where its importance is not immediately noted or understood until envisaged in another chapter. Unless the connections of these pieces of data are made these pieces of literary evidence21 will be overlooked and thus a full understanding of the story is not possible.

The story of Joseph ends in the breaking up of the protective magic circle. This takes place when Joseph dies. In sacred scriptures death symbolizes change not necessarily physical annihilation. And it can be envisaged why Joseph changed. This means that Joseph is no longer part of the circle and thus the circle is broken leaving BETH: ego to itself. The Israelites were looking towards Joseph for protection; whereas, they were receiving their protection from Egypt (symbolically the superstar see image below). Joseph was overlord of all Egypt and he had placed himself amongst his brothers’ circle. Previously,

All the details that are necessary for someone to cull out the truth were made available. It was then up to those that wanted to know the truth about their souls to ferret out the truth.

Joseph lived in Egypt with his wife and children before the famine came about and now he has become one of the Israelite boys so-to-speak, “can anything good come out of Nazareth?” How can anyone you know so well lord it over you? Is this not what was said of Jesus? Familiarity breeds contempt. Ask any married couple. Such a person with authority will lose his panache because of the familiarity amongst one’s peers. Joseph was overlord to all of Egypt and when he connected to his family they treated him not as an overlord but as one of the brothers causing the Israelites to believe that they were sustained by their own efforts rather than being part of the greater empire of Egypt. In addition the Israelites brought their God (Yahweh = Sun = Ego) to Egypt and they were shepherds not farmers like the whole of Egypt. Symbolically, the shepherds are astrologers: tending to the animals in the sky (Zodiac). Remember that all of Egypt had willingly sold their cattle for corn during the famine. Apparently, Astrology wasn’t working for Egyptians; whereas, the Israelite were nomadic people that roamed the deserts of Arabia. The Israelites were soothsayers. This doesn’t mean that the Egyptians did not understand Astrology. They certainly did; however, their understanding of Astrology was symbolic and the Egyptians were not into prognosticating the future. These are the basic differences between the Egyptian and Israelite mentalities. This becomes obvious when reviewing the entire story of Joseph.

WHAT IS ASTROLOGY? Astrology is comparable to an institutional educational system like the Catholic Church or any religious institution or secret society on the face of the Earth. Yes, the Egyptian knew Astrology and even practiced it; however, Joseph weaned the Egyptians off Astrology this is why the Egyptian farmers sold their animals (Zodiac figures). Notice how Joseph taxes the Egyptian people for their money, their cattle and their land. It all becomes the property of the pharaoh very similar to how the first Christian communities had their members put all their belongings into the community treasury. None of this taxation was imposed upon the Israelites. Eventually all the Egyptian farmers had to give up 20° of their income yearly and retained 80°. Symbolically, 20° is reduced to BETH the ego and the 80° represents PEI symbolically the empyrean: Garden of Eden.

Buddhism gives a very telling tale based upon this above spiritual principle. The neophyte monk in Buddhism is introduced to the Little Ferry Boat, which is symbolically Buddhism. For years the monk does his chores, prays his prays and seeks most of all to get to yonder shore the land of NIVANA. After many years the monk reaches yonder shores and goes off leaving the Little Ferry Boat behind. The new neophyte ask his master, “why does he leave the Little Ferry Boat behind” and his master replies “because it is no longer needed for he has all he needs to stay in the state of NIVANA”

Here is a Masonic Apron22 that depicts the completed Solomon’s Temple in the round. What is most significant in this picture is that the tools of the mason are discarded on the floor for they are no longer needed for the Temple is Complete. Note the Holy of Holies in the center of the temple: that is the desired goal: the Garden of Eden, the land of Nirvana, Shangri La, etc., etc.

Dante Alighieri in his La Divina Commedia demonstrates this spiritual principle when he and Virgil go through the Wall of Flames (Faith) in the twenty-seventh chapter of La Purgatorio to get to the Garden of Eden. From that moment forward Virgil doesn’t say another word in Dante epic poem for Virgil symbolically represents human reasoning.

All of the examples I have given used Astrology in their systems of thought leading to the desired goal. As you can see in the Masonic Apron even the checkerboard floor is no longer needed because a new platform was built to replace it. That checkerboard pattern is symbolic of the UNIVERSAL MATHEMATICAL MATRIX: Prima Materia (Perennial Matrix) for it is only a commentary on the MONAD, which is the Holy of Holies. All of these examples are hard nuts to crack; yet, within the center of those nuts is the kernel symbolically representing the Holy of Holies.

In the Sistine Chapel ceiling frescoed, by Michelangelo, is a depiction of the Zodiac/Calendar year, which literally exudes the Star of David, which is not envisaged by the general public that knows nothing of symbolism. The operative phrase here is the Star of David, which infers the Christ or Star of Bethlehem or Star of the Magi. If the symbolism of the Catholic Church is studied properly then even the teachings of the Church can be discarded because the ultimate achievement had been acquired directly from God; however, this does not give license to the initiate to quit his study in the search of knowledge of God. Like the Egyptian farmers that gave up everything for their pharaoh they still had to till the land to remain in their spiritual state of being.

Consider Joseph’s mentality. Joseph’s entire life is that of a young man dreaming of lording it over those around him: his whole life is a variation on the theme of being a BUTLER (Shadow23). 1. The first time this archetypal motif Butler (Shadow) is allegorically connected to Joseph is when his

father sends him out to report on his brothers. Basically, Joseph is a gofer traveling all over his father domain reviewing it all and reporting back to Jacob (ego). As if Joseph was Jacob’s conscience. In a sense that is exactly what the unconscious (Shadow = the Butler is to be seen and not heard) is.

Joseph symbolically represents the SHADOW, which represents repressed memories and/or all that the ego does not consciously recognize. This is why PEI surrounds BETH symbolically surveying Jacob’s entire estate.

It should be made very clear that there are numerous skits in the telling of Joseph story; however, each skit is written as if the role players are taking on the psychological attributes of the previous skit. For example Jacob represented the ego in one part of the story; however, when Joseph goes to Egypt Potiphar takes over that role; whereas, throughout Joseph symbolizes the Shadow (unconscious mind: hence the evil reports to his father = ego).

a. Joseph’s interpreted dream24 is that of lording it over his brothers and upon hearing the dream the brothers put him into a hole25 until they sell him to the Midianite who eventually sold him to Potiphar. Joseph ceased being one of the brothers when he betrayed Reuben26 and had that dream of lording it over his brothers. The tendency for Joseph to betray his brothers and that dream told his father and brothers everything they needed to know about Joseph’s psychology.

The reader should be very careful in taking another’s word, including my own, concerning scriptural interpretations. If the reader was to research the astrological signs of Jacob’s twelve sons barely two books give his twelve sons the same signs of the Zodiac. One perfect example misinterpreting the scripture is assigning Reuben; Jacob’s first born, to a Water sign of Astrology simply because Jacob on his death bed tells Reuben “you are as unstable as water27”. Well FIRE is as unstable as WATER and Aries, the first sign of the Zodiac, is a FIRE SIGN. Reuben defiling his father bed has to be exceedingly important to the story to be mentioned twice in the saga of Joseph and his brothers. It becomes much more important when this event of Reuben with his father’s concubine is linked to the constellations of the Zodiac. Rachel had just died giving birth to Benjamin and she is buried in Bethlehem (house of bread). That idea becomes significant when it is realized that Christ was born in Bethlehem of Judea. Not that Benjamin was the Christ or symbolized him; rather, Benjamin symbolized the closing of the mystical circle. Christ is much more ethereal than being a mere mortal. Mary the mother of Jesus died giving birth to Christ: she allegorically became the first Christian. Mary went from being a Jew to being a Christian: that is death in the eyes of Judaism just as Eve died eating the fruit of the forbidden tree. Adam and Eve were waft into a state of Orenda, which was outside the prying eyes of Yahweh (Ego) though they couldn’t get away from Yahweh’s (ego’s) nagging. When Yahweh screamed at the top of his lungs, “where art thou Adam28”, he had no clue as to where they disappeared to.

Jacob (ego) did exactly what he was supposed to do in his quest to close the mystical circle. He took all the strange gods and buried them and then went to Bethel (House of El: God): this is the Canaanite God of Melchizedek, who served Abraham the Eucharist (bread and the wine). There in Bethel Rachel conceives and then dies giving birth to Benjamin in Bethlehem (House of Bread: i.e. Eucharist) of Judea where Christ was born. Rachel allegorically is the House of God for women are known as the temple of

Rachel was dead; therefore, the care of Joseph and Benjamin would have been place upon Bilhah. In the wilds of nature that is precisely what a challenging male cat would do to the leader’s (top cat’s) favor female cat. The challenging cat would get rid of the female’s brood so that it would submit to having sex. This takes place with domesticated cats living on farms. See the film: CARESSING THE TIGER.27 Genesis 49:3-4;28 Genesis 3:9; this statement of Yahweh is analogous to people around the initiate that is trying to explain the esoteric texts. They are basically saying “where are you coming from”.

God. The letter BETH is said to be symbolically the temple. Jacob’s wife Rachel was considered allegorically the contemplative life; whereas, Leah represented the non-monastic life according to Medieval Christian Symbolism. Rachel is obviously Jacob’s anima, which he had contemplative intercourse with and Benjamin was conceived closing the mystical circle.

Whereas it is Reuben that breaks the mystical circle by overturning what Jacob accomplished. Believing himself to be more important and entitled to his birthright29 before his time he has a relationship with his father’s concubine. Rachel had just died so Reuben takes Rachel’s handmaid Bilhah30 to bed31. Jacob, Reuben father remember that to his dying day. Reuben actions in lying with his father concubine seems to be that of a coup d’état because his father was in mourning because of the death of Rachel; however, because of Joseph’s informing his father of Reuben’s actions Reuben failed. This is why at the end of his life Jacob tells Reuben that he will not excel. Cardinal signs of Astrology never excel allegorically because they initiate projects. Symbolically, they don’t build or complete anything. Notice how Reuben couldn’t acquiesce to actually murdering Joseph even though his brother informed on him to his father. By placing Joseph in a hole (unconscious mind: Shadow) and selling him to the Midianites for twenty pieces of silver. The number twenty is reduced to two, which symbolizes the ego. If the ego is taken out of Joseph what remains is the unconscious mind, which by selling Joseph he is out of sight out of mind. The unconscious mind is no longer in their sphere of thoughts. But the brothers have retained the ego.

Allegorically, it was an animal that killed Joseph and put him into a pit (unconscious mind). The animal was of course an astrological animal because Joseph saw himself being worship by eleven stars. Joseph’s sign Aquarius is symbolized by the Water Bearer or the seventeenth Tarot Card: The Star, where the Water Bearer is pouring Water into the river and on the ground symbolizing PEI is the gateway between the material and spiritual realms.

Both Reuben’s actions with Bilhah and Joseph’s dreams are prophetic of what is to come. Reuben represents Aries and the next sign in the sequence in the Precession of the Equinoxes is Taurus according to the allegorical sequence of the sacred scriptures seeing that Taurus the Bull had about completed it course. Rueben had tried to speed up the clock so to speak. When you consider that when the Israelites were coming out of Egypt Moses first fled to the priest of the Midianites. Joseph was sold into the hands of the Midianites: coincidence? I don’t think so. As soon as Moses leaves the land of Egypt he is worshipping the Ram (Aries) and he is very upset when the Israelites formed a Bull (Taurus) out of Gold and was worshipping it. The Bull is what the Israelites were worshipping in Egypt. The Bull was not what the Egyptians were worshipping according to this interpretation of the scriptures.

Joseph dreamed that he would rule over his brothers because he had now obtained Reuben’s birthright32. Within the SHADOW (unconscious mind) is ego-consciousness: how this is portrayed in the bible is that inundating and surrounding BETH (ego) is PEI (unconscious mind); thereby, showing the ego resides in the unconscious mind. It is known that BETH is the first letter of Genesis and it is the largest written letter in the word BERESHITH33; thus, Joseph was telling the truth when he said his sheaf would grow higher than their and they would give obeisance to him. For as large as BETH is the larger the

letter PEI would be. Joseph as the eleventh son: the number eleven reduces to number two (ego). Also the twenty pieces of silver that the brothers received for selling Joseph is the Gematria value of KAF: the eleventh Hebrew letter (Joseph being the eleventh son), which can be reduced to two (ego); however; KAF, also symbolizes CROWN: is that the ego? It would depend upon what perspective you are looking at it from.

There is a very good reason why I am belaboring this issue on Astrology and its Zodiac Cycle. Notice how Joseph has the Egyptian do exactly what Jacob did when he went to Bethel. Jacob got rid of all his gods34 and buried them. The Egyptian during the ‘spiritual’ famine sold their money, cattle (astrology), land and finally gave a fifth of their farming production to pharaoh; thus, the Egyptian got rid of all of their gods; whereas, Joseph had other plans for his father, his brothers and their families.

“And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father’s house, I will go up, and show Pharaoh, and say unto him, my brethren, and my father’s house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me (v31); and the men are shepherds, for their trade hath been to feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have (v32). And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you and shall say, what is your occupation (33)? That ye shall say, thy servants trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians (34)35.”

The point here of course is that Astrology was considered false gods. Meaning that Jacob gets rid of the false gods; however, Reuben brings them right back trying to usher in the age of Aries by having sex with his father’s concubine Bilhah. Bilhah means ‘shy’ showing it was a weak and/or failed effort on Reuben’s behalf. This means that the Egyptians are not depending upon Astrology to show them what Astrological Age they were in. They were permanently on a spiritual level in the Age of Piscis. Not that the Egyptians thought themselves to be in the age of Piscis; rather, Piscis is allegorically the advent of spirituality. The Egyptians from the scriptural description shows the Egyptians allegorically were never out of the age of Piscis seeing in the scriptures their mystical circle never broke. I am talking here of the allegorical scriptures not real time.

Joseph momentarily achieved closing the mystical circle. Benjamin was twenty-years of age when he went into Egypt. This is determined by the fact that Benjamin was just born when Joseph was sold into Egypt. Joseph was thirty years of age when he became governor over all of Egypt. This made Benjamin at that time thirteen years of age. Then there were the seven additional years of plenty before the famine making Benjamin twenty years of age; thus, when Joseph and Benjamin embrace Joseph representing PEI, which number is eighty (80) and Benjamin was twenty years of age totaling to one hundred (100) or the 10 x 10 matrix: commentary on the MONAD. The number one hundred happens to be the Gemetria value of QOPH the nineteenth letter of the Hebrew alphabet, which when grouped with TAV (400), SHIN (300) and RESH (200) totals to one thousand and spells out the word CHRIST (krst) in Greek using Hebrew letters: thus, closing the mystical circle. From this Catholics can understand why they see Astrology in Christian artworks; nonetheless, the Catholic Church forbids the practicing and/or the belief in Astrology for predicting the future. Astrology should be used merely as a symbolic tool to understand the meaning of the words in the scriptures. Here in the twenty-first century mankind is living in the age of Piscis; whereas, they are psychically and allegorically living out their lives in the age of

Taurus (ego) and it is kind of paradoxical that this generation has to believe in a permanent state of being in Piscis allegorically for eternity; yet, the Egyptians were living in the age of Taurus and lived spiritually as if they were eternally in the age of Piscis; in contrast, it would be difficult for modernists to believe they are actually living allegorically in the age of Taurus when they are actually living in the age of Piscis36. I, personally, can’t help wondering if psychically our world was juxtaposition to coincide with the esoteric stories of the sacred scriptures: i.e. the psyche. In fact it would have to be37.

However, like his father Joseph’s momentary achievement of closing the magical circle was short lived because immediately after Joseph gathers up his false gods again (Astrology) and is telling pharaoh that his brothers are shepherds. This would be the age of Taurus the Bull because it was the ego that was being worshipped. What is more stubborn than the Bull: i.e. Ego?

It is said that the first born of Egypt was Taurus the Bull and the first born of Israel was the Ram: that is the Precession of the Equinoxes at work here. That is an incredibly insightful interpretation because Moses came out of Egypt at the dawn of the age of Aries. The Egyptians first born (egos) were killed off because they sold their cattle during the famine; therefore, I would suggest that somehow the ‘spiritual famine’ was collectively and allegorically the ten plagues express symbolically in ten different ways; however, those that study the book of Genesis carefully will see that from Adam (even the first Adam) the traditional first born of the Israelites never gets the inheritance of the first born. It is usually the second or a later son that obtains that privilege. Traditionally, the Jews (Israelites) consider the second born to be their first son being that the first born son belongs to God. This is why I believe that the first book of the Torah was given the name Genesis: because the definition of the word ‘genesis’ is ‘number two’; thus, the first book of the Bible is called “TWO”: that is because the first book (Oral Tradition) is esoterically structured beneath the text of the written Torah

THE STORY OF JOSEPH AND HIS BROTHERS: Continue Analysis2. Joseph goes into Egypt and becomes the BUTLER38 for the second time. He is nothing but a slave but

he think that when the master Potiphar is not present that he is lord of the mansion; however, Joseph refuses to accept Potiphar wife’s (anima) advances. Here I interpret Potiphar’s wife39 trying to integrate Joseph into their way of life. Joseph leaves his garment behind and is later cast into prison.

a. Why was Joseph’s garment so easily taken from him? Did he try to accept Potiphar wife’s advances and found that he couldn’t? It is difficult to believe that Joseph did not tell Potiphar about his wife’s advances seeing he was of that mindset: that of an informer.

i. Significantly though leaving that garment behind indicates that Potiphar’s wife’s advances were getting to him; otherwise, why would he be naked?

36 Considering all this the reader can envisage how beautifully the sacred scriptures were written to augment the initiate’s psyche in the real world.37 What I mean by this is that the sacred scriptures are written to record the psychic processes of the psyche. The world is a projection of these psychic processes; therefore, the ego lives in a world that is perfectly attuned to the esoteric teachings of the scriptures outlining these psychic processes. Of course I do not believe that there would be any real significance to the Precession of the Equinoxes in real time in relationship to the teachings of the psychic processes of the psyche esoterically outlined in the sacred scriptures see real time is an ongoing depiction of what is psychically taking place in the collective psyche of humanity.38 Genesis chapter 3939 I do not hold much stock in other people’s wild interpretations of the texts of the sacred scriptures. I allow the sacred scriptures to interpret themselves.

ii. Like the dream that Joseph told his brother informed them of his whole mentality so too does the garment (psychological makeup) tell Potiphar and his wife all they needed to know about Joseph’s psychology. Joseph at this time could not be converted to the Egyptian way of life; hence, his being thrown into prison.

3. In prison Joseph40 again is made lord over all the people (prisoners) around him or at least he thinks so. Again he has assumed a variation of the role of butler once again, for the third time. A prisoner is a prisoner no matter what chores he’s given to perform on a daily basis. Again Joseph, even after being placed in a hole, is basically given the chores of a butler tending to the daily needs of the prisoners.

a. In modern times Joseph would have been considered an informer (trustee): take the account of the dreams that he interprets. We know that the butler and the baker were doing something that causes the pharaoh to thrown them into prison.

i. The pharaoh’s butler is basically giving all he has grown (grapes) to the pharaoh. The fruit of the vine into a single cup.

1. The butler is restored to his post in three days. Ask yourself, how the pharaoh knew what to do if it wasn’t Joseph reports to the guards that informed on the prisoners.

2. Consider also that the butler is not being elevated to a more important post he is just restored to his previous post.

1) When considering this consider how the Israelites were allowed to live in Goshen even though they were shepherds the most hated profession in all of Egypt. Why? I believe the answer lies in the fact that pharaoh symbolically represents God. God is not going to force you to live your life any different then you, personally, want to live it; hence, the Egyptians tolerance of the Israelites.

3. Consider also that Joseph knew that the butler was going to be restored to his post because he task the butler with the responsibility of letting the pharaoh know about him; however, the butler forgot Joseph.

ii. Whereas, the baker has three baskets and the upper most basket was of baked meat, which the birds of the heavens feasted upon.

“Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed41”.

1. The baker is fulfilling the mandate of Christ: “feed my sheep” and in this case it is the birds of the heavens he is feeding, which is symbolically spiritually minded people.

2. Consider that the baker is not being hanged but rather elevated to a more important position in pharaoh entourage. Like the rapture in the New Testament two people working side by side one is taken the other is not.

4. Joseph is now called upon to interpret Pharaoh’s dreams. From a symbolic perspective it is not a very difficult set of dreams to interpret especially when the dream is repeated with different symbols. There is nobody in all of Egypt that has the ability to interpret dreams or so we are told. This points out the fact that Egyptians were not prognosticators; whereas, the Israelites were more prone to being prognosticators because they were nomads roaming the deserts of Arabia and knew

their star lore. Note how the pharaoh has two dreams of the same event similar to how Joseph had two dreams of his eventual rise to overlord it over his brothers. Then there are the two different dreams of the Butler and the Baker. Each of the three sets of dreams (six in all) is either vegetation or animal.

a. Joseph interprets the dreams as pharaoh wanted him to interpret it because it gave pharaoh the opportunity to make Joseph a BUTLER (overlord) over all of Egypt. This is the fourth time Joseph is appointed overlord over all the people around him.

b. What are the years of famine, and what caused the famine?i. The years of plenty brought about the ‘spiritual famine’ because the people had

plenty of money, cattle and land and then a fifth (ego) of their gross income had to be given to pharaoh. What did Christ say in the New Testament, “Sell all you have and give to the poor and come follow me”? The poor is the community. If you sell all you have and give to the poor then you are the poor.

1. Selling all these material things allowed the Egyptian to obtain the Eucharist (bread). The last thing asked of the Egyptians is a fifth of their gross income. A fifth is twenty percent (20%), which is reduced to the number two, which is symbolically: BETH: the ego; whereas, four fifths of the gross income is eighty percent (80%) or PEI, which represents the unconscious mind and the spiritual ground of being. The submerging of the ego into the unconscious is bringing about a spiritual state (Orenda).

2. The Israelites on the other hand did not sell the cattle and land nor spend any monies for their bread because Joseph gave it to them without enumeration.

Consider what pharaoh has done to Joseph in the end. Pharaoh has gathered all of Joseph’s previous adventures and rolls them up into the last task as an overlord. It is as if each successive stage of Joseph’s butlership vocation were advancements in the initiation rites of Egypt.

a) Joseph is given a coat of many color, which is symbolic of his ten brothers occupations and he brings back evil reports: meaning he find fault with all the vocations his brother’s have. In the process Joseph has surveyed the length and breadth of his father’s empire as if he was the ruler of it all. In the mean time Joseph report to his father that his brother is having a sexual relationship with his concubine.

a. Pharaoh makes Joseph governor over all of Egypt.i. This is the mystic element FIRE.

b) When Joseph is Potiphar butler he refuses the advances of Potiphar wife. Joseph was confronted with the very act of sex his brother did not refuse with his father’s concubine.

a. Pharaoh gives Joseph as a wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. I find it interesting that the name Potipherah is also defined as Potiphar by the bible dictionary.

b. Joseph refuses sex from Potiphar wife and yet is given a wife by pharaoh.i. This is the mystic element EARTH.

c) Joseph has a dream and interprets that dream to his family but does not act out that dream.a. Whereas, when Joseph interprets the dream of the Butler and the Baker he is actually

seeing dreams come to fruition.i. This is the mystic element AIR

Now consider that these last two positions that Joseph has as butler with Potiphar and being a trustee in prison (this tradecraft as butler was initiated with Jacob giving Joseph chores to do going around his

estate) as splitting up the several conflicts that he was having with his brothers. There is the sexual experience Reuben was having with his father’s concubine (evil reports: was sex considered evil to Joseph?) and there was the dream of lording it over his brothers that was not being acted upon.

The whole of Joseph’s life as explained in the last sixteen chapters of Genesis points to a continuous dream. Dreams not only point out a psychological problem but also hint at the solution to the problem. Yet, the story is told as if it is happening in the real world.

Were these two butler positions of Joseph (Potiphar’s butler and the Prison’s trustee) is him psychologically working out his conflicts of the past? Joseph with Potiphar wife still saw sex as evil especially when he has a history of reporting to his father that Reuben was sleeping with one of his concubine. Jacob remembered that report to the day of his death. Then there is the conflict of one of Judah’s son dying because he would not sleep with his dead brother’s wife. He knew the child would not be his but his brother’s42. It is not possible that Potiphar wife was trying to sire a child for her husband? Could Joseph have had relations with Potiphar wife but spill the seed on the ground because he knew the child was not going to be his?43

Women often represent the psyche (unconscious) and the butler going around the estate is very much like the circuit of the sun. For Joseph to have verbal (sexual) intercourse with Potiphar wife could symbolically be generating ideas, which in themselves are the children of the psyche. For Joseph to have entered into relationship with the psyche (Potiphar wife) he would have closed the circle.

I find it extraordinarily interesting that in both cases of Joseph’s brother throwing him into a pit and Joseph fleeing Potiphar wife that he lost his garment. Both incidences related directly to sex. Though Reuben is exonerated by his actions his brothers took the initiative and wreak vengeance on Joseph: the taking of his coat of many colors in relationship to Potiphar wife also having his garment is evidence of that. In both cases Joseph is thrown into a pit. In the case of Potiphar’s wife Joseph is thrown into prison. The similarities of the stories are two close for them both not to be of a sexual nature. For Joseph’s brothers to claim it is because of the dream of lording it over the eleven is not that implausible either seeing that betraying Reuben to his father is similar to Judas Iscariot betraying Christ; however, it was Joseph that caused his own incarceration because of the betrayal of his brother and desiring to lord it over his brother and by doing so Joseph broke Jacob’s magic circle of twelve with Jacob at the center.

The coat of many colors appears to be the many occupations of his ten brothers because in taken the garment away Joseph is placed in a pit. Was the coat of many colors the Genesis Formula (ten Hebrew letters) signifying the ten brothers? Joseph in representing the eleventh letter of the Genesis Formula points to his incarceration having to do with Reuben lying with his father concubine: Bilhah (anima). When this happen all of the sons of Jacob were gathered together, which point to the magic protective circle Jacob closed upon the birth of Benjamin. Joseph does not receive the coat of many colors until after he tells his father evil reports about his brothers. To pick out and favor Joseph, of all the brothers, by giving him a coat of many colors singles him out and shows the circle is broken. If the circle was closed there would be equality amongst the brothers.

This gathering of the brothers in a closed protective circle points to the years of plenty and this is reminiscence of the book of Job where his family was partying and they were all slaughtered and a

report got back to Job telling him about it. Jacob created his spiritual protective circle and the circle was broken when Reuben defiled his wife: the circle would have been already broken before Reuben dared to commit the act. It; therefore, can be said that all the sons of Jacob were slaughtered because they ceased being spiritual but are now egotistical again. This is consistent with the sons of Jacob tending their sheep at the time, which points back to their studying Astrology again. The only thing that can cause Reuben to attempt a coup d’état is if his father had stopped have intercourse with his wives. Jacob had stopped having a relationship with the anima (Bilhah). All that the closing of the circle means is that the initiate has a cosmology to work with that aid him or her in staying in a mystical state of being. Being that Rachel died indicates that Jacob quit have intercourse with his anima.

Women were treated as chattel in the orient. Look how easy Pharaoh gave Joseph a wife from the priest’s craft pointing to her being the anima. Apparently it was the custom to sexually educate the men of the family with the women of the harem. In other word Pharaoh had to give Joseph a religious wife in order for Joseph to understand and accept that intercourse with the anima was a normal part of being human. It also has to do with stabilizing an individual to settle down and become part of the community. Also giving a priestess to Joseph as a wife introduces Joseph into the Egyptian religious way of life. Notice that Joseph has both of his children before the famine indicating he was completely integrated into the Egyptian way of life.

d) Joseph is made governor of all of Egypt after interpreting the Pharaoh’s dreams as representing seven years of plenty and seven years of famine.

a. The dreams of pharaoh are a bit to advantageous because they mimic in reverse the dreams of the butler and the baker.

i. The butler’s dream mimic the years of plenty. The vine growing on the branches bring forth fruit and pharaoh cup is full of wine. In other words none of the grapes were saved for another day. All the grapes were pressed into the pharaoh’s cup. It was party time, which points to the lost of spirituality. Look what the fruit of the vine did to Noah.

1. The butler is restored to his position.ii. Whereas, the baker has three baskets and the top most basket is full of bake meats

being eaten by the birds of the air. Note that the other two baskets are not being eaten by the birds as if those baskets represented storehouses. The birds point to a restored state of spirituality.

1. The baker is hanged.b. Is it any wonder that the pharaoh was having nightmares? The problems in pharaoh’s house

were indicative to what was taking placing in the whole of the Egyptian empire. Pharaoh did the opposite of what he was supposed to do. Instead of hanging the butler and restoring the baker to his position pharaoh did the complete opposite. The pharaoh’s unconscious mind was unnerved by this and he was being plagued by it nightly; hence, his need for a soothsayer to interpret his dreams.

Since pharaoh was king of both Upper and Lower Egypt and he gave Joseph power over all his lands then Joseph symbolizes giving a position that takes in both roles of the Butler and the Baker. As governor of Egypt Joseph would hobnob with the best of them throughout all of Egypt during the good time enjoying the cups of wine; nonetheless, he would still have to feed the whole of the land of Egypt, like the baker

fed the birds, with what he had stored for the years of famine. The six dreams that Joseph had: even pharaoh’s44, shows the individuation process to manhood.

Consider that Joseph had dreams in his father’s house, but did not have dreams in Potiphar’s house. He interprets dreams in prison or are these really his dreams of living in Pharaoh’s house? Is the interpretation of the Butler and Baker’s dreams his intercourse with his anima? Since Joseph had no dreams in Potiphar house it is obvious that having dreams is having a direct relationship with the anima.

Notice how Joseph dreams progress from the local family to the collective symbolized by the Egyptian empire. Joseph wants to rule over his brothers, then over Potiphar house, then rule over the prison and finally he wants lordship over all of Egypt. It would seem to me that Joseph is the central story and it was Joseph that was having psychological problems needed to have a philosophy on life, which would gain him access to the realm of spiritual bliss.

c. Then there is Joseph’s reunion with his brothers. It is singularly important to remember that Joseph obsession with Benjamin is because they both had the same mother: Rachel: she had always been interpreted as the mystical part of Jacob’s life. She died and was buried in Bethlehem, which is interpreted as ‘House of Bread’. Is it any wonder that Joseph ends up being the bread giver and that Joseph and Benjamin were the last two out of twelve brothers, which when Benjamin entered Egypt the circle of brothers was closed.

i. This is the mystic element WATER. 1. Benjamin zodiacal sign is WATER: Piscis.

In the Cygnus X1 image above the red disc symbolizes the apotheosis of the ego to the level of the God/Man Christ; whereas, the superstar symbolizes the higher SELF. The SELF is basically the Vesica Piscis and the ego and the cosmology it has created is the SELF’S projection into the world it is experiencing. In no way is the SELF to be considered the supreme GOD. There is no way of defining the ineffable.

The red disc: Cygnus X1 symbolizes the gathering of the world’s knowledge and making a working cosmology (philosophy on life to maintain a spiritual connection to a higher power) of it. This is why the spelling of the word Christ includes within its tetractys Fire, Earth, Air and Water symbolized by 1, 2, 3, and 4. It takes in all the elements of the initiate life: i.e. the universe to achieve this.

Then there is of course Joseph breaking the circle. Joseph had been reduced to just one of the twelve brother of equal status. They were still shepherd and they never did change psychologically. Goshen was symbolically the circle of brothers: city of Israel so-to speak attached to the Egyptian

empire that was feeding and politically supporting it. Unlike the rest of Egypt, who owned no cattle45 or land and gave a fifth of their gross income to

pharaoh each year the Israelites did not participate in that spiritual ritual. They were too clannish and in the end too egotistical to be part of the spiritual religion of Egypt.

The death of Joseph’s Egyptian spiritual religious beliefs causes all of Goshen to believe they had harsh taskmasters put over them, which of course were their paranoid egos at work. Like Joseph when he was a young man they knew it all and believe they were greater than all of Egypt; hence their flight from Egypt.

Notice how the Israelites flight from Egypt is diametrically opposite to that of Jesus, Mary and Joseph’ flight into Egypt. Don’t think that this is a coincidence. It is a deliberate ‘tell’ in the story.

I submit that Joseph was symbolically the unconscious from the very beginning even before the story says he was sold into Egypt. The entire story of Joseph with those six dreams points to psychological growth through the individuation process and the Jungian Transcendent Function. The entire story shows the initiation of growing into the spiritual community and the breaking away from it.

How could Joseph have had such dreams unless he was somehow exposed to that initiation process? Children often overhear people around them talking and/or it was part of their culture to enter into the mysteries of their religion and Joseph knew46 that that was going to be his future. Yes, Joseph was a bit on in years but I take this as his preliminary years of secular education being brought to a close.

The whole key to understanding the symbolism of the sacred scriptures is the compartmentalization of the several or more interpretations that are derived from a single symbol. For example the word BERESHITH gives off scores of interpretations each of them being correct and most of them represent different categories of thought found esoterically spread throughout the whole of the first chapter of Genesis. Take a look above at the image of the Vesica Piscis out of the Genesis Formula. A great deal can be derived from studying this graphic image: the mathematical patterns are incredibly in synch with each other. The basic message is that “when two and three are gathered together in my name there am I in the midst of them”, as Christ says in the New Testament. At the finale when the magic protective circle of twelve is closed Christ is separating the ego from the temptations of the material world (the void): the ego is now focused solely upon Christ and by extension the higher states of being.

45 This is actually a mystical reality in real time. In Egypt every so often all the cattle die off mysteriously and cattle have to be brought from other countries. It is said that within one generation the cattle brought from other country look like the sketches found on Egyptian monuments. This is because of the paideumatic (educative) influences in the earth.46 Here I point to the Genesis chapter fourteen where Melchizedek was the King/Priest of the Canaanite Empire where Abraham received the Eucharist: the bread and the wine. Remember that Esau children married the women of Canaan. Thus when the Israelites committed Genocide on the land of Canaan after the Exodus they were in fact murdering their own relatives.

I want to give several more example of the symbolism of Cygnus X1 from both scripture and monument.

THE MYTHOS OF CHRISTIANITY

The New Testament’s story concerning Christ’s ministry is the very same saga that the Joseph story narrates; however, the ministry of Christ begins at the closing of the circle of twelve. Christ cannot come before that point. Then at the very end of Christ’s ministry comes the intricate details that explain the breaking of the circle of twelve and the scattering of the disciples into the Christian diaspera.

Bringing the Joseph and Christ stories together to form a perfect whole is similar to bringing the Old and New Testament together to round out the Judeao Christian bible. It may very well be possible that the first three stages in Joseph’s education (family, Potiphar and prison) are symbolic of The Three Degrees of Masonry. This would be consistent with the Mason’s reverence for John the Baptist; however, the closing of the circle of twelve would thereafter have nothing do with the secular education that the Masons offer. The teachings of the Masonic Order can intellectually get the initiate to the edge of the precipice47 but nothing can get the novice into the void of spirituality (Garden of Eden). The real life mythological system48 that the Masonic Order offers is quite remarkable from the respect that it includes all humanity’s religions. Every human is equal in the lodge, and by extension all lodges, no matter what degree is held by an individual member. I find it equality remarkable that both Masonry and Alchemy rose up in answer to the Protestant Reformation.

The phrase ‘The Last Supper’ points to there being many suppers during Christ’s three year ministry; thus, Christ had been serving the Eucharist to his disciples all that time. Anyone of those suppers could have been The Last Supper. In fact The First Supper could have been The Last Supper and symbolically probably was considering my hypothesis concerning that nanosecond of time. Personally, I believe that the Birth of Christ: that nanosecond of time, which takes place in the psyche when the initiate enters into a spiritual state of being, was stretched into a 33-year lifespan for Christ. The birth of Christ can only take place upon the closing of the magic protective circle, which allows the Holy Spirit (symbolized by the Cygnus X1, which is part of the Cygnus constellation: the Swan or Northern Cross) to appears over the heads of the twelve disciples49 otherwise Christ could not have taught them the Word of God. What Cygnus X1 is signifying symbolically as do the stories of Joseph and Christ’s ministry is that the CHRIST represents collectively the twelve disciples as a unit. It is not that Christ represents twelve people but rather symbolically he represents all the elements of one life’s Mandala: i.e. psychological state of mind (cosmological and religious philosophy) that allows the initiate to remain in a spiritual state of grace.

Here I can see the argument that one can achieve a successful way of life without religion and I would agree with that assessment up to a point; however, too often we see successful people in the world of commerce that have no family life; whatsoever; other than marrying and siring children demonstrating one has no spiritual life to bring about a full vivifying life.

The death of Christ comes about through the events that occurred at The Last Supper. Judas Iscariot was not evil or a betrayer of Christ until he was given the sop at the last supper. The New Testament

clearly states that. Though all the New Testament authors portray Judas as the traitor upon introducing him in their gospel the actual evil entering Judas’ heart only came about through the receiving of the Eucharist. This is where the breaking of the circle came about. Ask yourself why Judas Iscariot betrayed Christ. Judas was obviously given more responsibility (community treasurer) than the other disciples indicating that he was older than the others and more responsible. He may well have been close to the age of thirty when Jesus started his ministry similar to Joseph being thirty when he became overlord of Egypt. Apparently, Matthew was not given the treasurer’s responsibilities because he was once a publican (accountant – money changer); however, notice the name of the individual that was chosen to eventually take Judas place on Pentecostal Sunday: Matthias. This name seems to be a hybrid of Matthew and Judas even though the Strong’s Exhaustive Hebrew Concordance places the name Matthias as a variation of Matthew; nonetheless, I point to the spelling and the sound of the name Matthias. The moment that Matthias was chosen the Holy Spirit descended upon the twelve 50 because the protective mystic circle had once again been closed.

What was it that allowed the devil to enter into Judas Iscariot’s heart? I submit that there are but three temptations that would allow Satan to tempt an innocent. These would be the same three temptations that Jesus summarily dismissed in the desert in his altercation with Satan. I submit that the same problem that plagued Joseph also plague Judas Iscariot at the end. I think that Judas thought that he deserved a larger piece of the Eucharist then what the others received. He thought he was slighted by the sop that Christ had given him. Any Catholic that receives the Eucharist knows that everybody in the congregation gets the same size Eucharist (host). Even if you were a rich man or a president the size of the Eucharist is the same as everybody else’s. Even if one got a larger piece of the Eucharist, which in modernity is rarely possible, it would have no more spiritual efficacy as that of a sop.

Jesus said that whoever he gives the sop51 to would betray him. Jesus was going to give a morsel to each of the twelve disciples seeing they were all equal. None of the disciples knew who he was speaking of and they all asked Christ who it was that would betray him and he told them all ‘you said it”. Meaning he told Judas Iscariot as well as the other; however, it became significant to Judas alone when he betrayed Christ. Now how and why did Judas Iscariot betray Christ?

It is obvious that with Judas Iscariot visit to the High Priest rather than to a local rabbi that he wanted to hobnob with Judaism’s priesthood. Having reached the age of thirty he most likely wanted to start up his own ministry and had to receive permission from the elders of the temple and they gave him seed money: 30-pieces of silver, which allowed him to create his own idea of the Garden of Eden within Judaism: i.e. potter’s field – “let the dead bury the dead”. Think about it. Before Christ is crucified he is the Swan: Holy Spirit. With the disciples scattered the Holy Spirit vanishes and Christ symbolically hangs on the Northern Cross. Is this the reason for one of Jesus’ remarks on the cross, “My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me”? The twelve disciples become his crown of thorns because any priest or rabbi worth his salt can argue

both sides of the Mobius strip in a trial of heresy, which the trial of Christ was: the trial of Christ was apparently a defrocking of Jesus from being a Rabbi, what Catholicism calls excommunication.

Peter cutting off the ear of one of the soldiers is Peter euphemistically talking off the ear of the arresting officer: trying to talk reason to someone that cannot be reasoned to.

Judas’ kiss betraying Christ is symbolically paying lip service to the teachings of Christ while doing the very opposite of them.

Peter denying Christ is the same as what the other disciples was doing: fleeing the scene in the Garden of Gethsemane: in fleeing they all denied Christ because they couldn’t stand the peer pressure. This is most likely where the mythos of the magic circle keeping out evil comes from. The moment the circle is broken evil inundates the circle.

Christ crucified between two thieves is separating out those that will believe and who will steadfastly not believe. This is also symbolic of splitting the curtain of the temple in twain.

The curtain in the temple renting into two parts is similar to the Earth’s terminator designating night and day: Light and Darkness. In every sense Christianity initially was suppose to separate Church and State and somehow these secular and religious governments melded into one again. The curtain in the temple represents the psyche: the ego and the unconscious mind. It is only when the psyche is in perfect accord having intercourse with each other that Christ is with us; however, if either side gets more than 50° equality has broken down the curtain is split in twain.

All the New Testament remarks can be symbolically interpreted. As Saint John says at the end of his gospel:

“And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen52.”

When looking at the compositional structure of the New Testament we find the four gospels and then an additional twenty three books written by a total of eight people: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, Peter, James and Jude. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John (gospel writers) represent the four mystic elements: Air, Fire, Earth and Water respectively, which symbolizes the closing and the breaking up of the mystic/magic circle forming the Northern Cross and the other authors’ fill in the rest of the Kamea of Saturn. Look at Michelangelo rendition of the Sacrifice of Noah, which show Noah and his family of eight surrounding the altar, on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, in the configuration of the Kamea of Saturn. The Kamea of Saturn cubed would have twenty-seven cells similar to the Rubric Cube because it is symbolic of cubing the number three (Trinity = 3³). The New Testament has twenty-seven books.

SERPENT MOUNDTo preface this example I advise the reader to first view my online analysis of Serpent Mound on the World Mysteries blog. Below are additional insights to this presentation.

I am continuously in a state of awe at the spiritual concept that is being conveyed at the sacred site of Serpent Mound, in Peebles, Ohio USA. I have not stopped trying to grasp the overall purpose of the site so I find myself continuously doing a comparative analysis of Serpent Mound and the first word of Genesis: BERESHITH. Such research may appear aberrant to those that have no understanding of symbolism. A spiritual concept can be express in an infinite amount of ways with different symbols and disparate story-lines. This allows for the envisaging of a spiritual concept from several or more perspectives.

Ross Hamilton’s work, STAR MOUNDS: Legacy of A Native American Mystery, continuously surprises me because if one was to really look at SERPENT MOUND with the twelve signs of the Astrology surrounding it with its huge Zodiacal disc along with the huge meteor impact crater symbolically is comparable to the neutron star draining energy out of the superstar (see accompanied image).”CHILDREN OF THE SWAN” in the Cygnus constellation (Cygnus X-153).

I believe that Serpent Mound was created to symbolically represent the moment of the unset of Orenda (state of grace), the moment of the spiritual vision that allows the mystic to enter into the state of Orenda. This is the moment that the mystic, like Christ, ascends into heaven: Garden of Eden. What this means is that though the individual still lives in the world the mystic is not of the world. The mystic really wants no part of the secular world.
