Bread as a TIME MANAGEMENT TOOL

When making bread, it takes about 45 minutes for the first rise.

You have time to throw in load of laundry and vacuum while the dough rises.

DIVINIATIONaleuromancy: from wikipedia – the use of flour for divination. The word comes from the Greek aleuron, meaning flour, and manteia, meaning divination. In its original form, slips of paper containing philosophical writings would be baked inside of cakes or cookies, which would then be distributed to those wishing their fortunes to be told. Similarly, the Greeks would bake slips of paper with sentences on them inside of balls of flour, mix the balls nine times, and distribute them. Modern fortune cookies are a variant on these forms of divination.

alphitomancy: from wikipedia -- is a form of divination involving barley cakes or loaves of barley bread. When someone in a group was suspected of a crime, the members of the group would be fed barley cakes or slices of barley bread. Supposedly, the guilty party would get indigestion, while all others would feel well.
