Background: Hambrough is a large, modern school based in the heart of Southall in the London Borough of Ealing. It opened its doors on 27 April 1981 and today comprises two classes per year providing education to circa 470 pupils (including 100 pupils in its nursery).

At Hambrough, every student has access to a modern laptop with the latest educational software. We configure every device to provide a safe, consistent and reliable platform for their programme of learning.

Interactive whiteboards are in every classroom to enhance teaching and allow students to learn all areas of the curriculum. Students ben-efit from the interactivity because they are able to work directly on the whiteboards, which helps them to become confident learners.

From the implementation of the interactive whiteboards through to the configuration of classroom laptops to work with them seamlessly, our bespoke services have allowed staff at Hambrough to dedicate all of their time to their students. We are on hand to help them do this with technology acting as a facilitator rather than a distraction.

GLE Connect provides comprehensive technical support to staff and students

GLE Connect has been the ICT support partner at Hambrough since 2015.

We provide comprehensive technical support to its circa 29 staff and 470 students and ongoing advice and assistance.

As part of this, the school has unlimited access to remote support during the calendar year as well as regular, scheduled support visits during the academic term.

GLE Connect provides ongoing strategic advice and consultancy

Primary schools rarely have the resources of secondary schools or larger institutions but they require just as much help in formulating an effective technology strategy.

For Hambrough, we try to bridge this gap by providing ongoing advice and consultancy through regular meetings with our solutions team at no extra cost. These meetings are aided by information from our support management systems and the knowledge we gain about the school’s technology platform during our regular site visits. The advice we provide is therefore truly bespoke.

Finally, we deliver information and advice to teachers on online security and threat management in an informal setting and on an ad-hoc basis to suit their busy schedules. These cover a range of topics including how to keep children safe when using the internet and how to avoid viruses.
