DESCRIPTION
If you a school teacher or professor that wants to use mobile technology, here are three things to do in the next 30 minutes. Yes, you can use this lunch break and be a mobile early adopter. We know you are tired of telling your students to stop using their smartphones during class. Now is the time to tell them to start using it. Here is how: 1. Create a mobile quiz for your class, to test understanding and engage your students. The mobile survey app helps teachers achieve three basic things (other than the joy of using their loved device right in front of you, for a change…): actively engage students during the entire class period, gauge their level of understanding of the material being presented, and provide prompt feedback to student questions Keep is simple. Do ask for the survey in the middle of the class, to test understanding and engage the class more. Don’t over do it…you want your students to ease into it. Later, you can become more sophisticated – with our platform you can use times quizzes. For example, ask 10 questions in 5 minutes. The mobile app will keep count from when the student started, and automatically stop when the time is up. Once you get the basics in order, you can do synch surveys, where the entire class sees the same question at the same time, advancing at the same pace. Next steps for the next five minutes (because the time to do it is right now, you are already in front of a computer reading this, and your iPhone or Android phone is already is in your pocket): 1. Look at that sign-up button in the top right corner. Create an account. Go to “Create a survey.” Create one , with only two questions. 2. Download the Zwoor Survey app on your favourite device (iPhone, iPad, Android Phone, Tablet or Kindle Fire). 3. Enter your survey code. Click through the survey. Submit. 4. Look at the webpage for the results of the survey. That’s it. You created your first mobile survey for your classroom. From here, more can be done. A timed quiz. An offline quiz, when there is no connectivity. Spice up the surveys with images. But one step at a time. See if your class likes it first. You are now ready for the next step to become a mobile hero in the classroom. 2. Upload your course for mobile devices – iPhones, iPads, Android fine devices. Because, for paper hungry schools and universities, there are good news ahead. What used to be affordable only for Fortune 500 Corporate Learning Centers we made available to schools, colleges and universities. A student will now be able to see all their course materials, week by week, in a notebook like app. Each week course has the materials, room logistics, the professor profile, related websites and videos. they can even tweet you, the teacher, or link with you in LinkedIn.
