What is the purpose of this portfolio?
This portfolio gives a list of the activities that you participated in on the school site and of the knowledge acquired during the theoretical courses. It allows you to keep track of what you achieved during training. It will be a supporting tool to explain to others what you learned. It is given with the attendance certificate and the documents you received during the building field school.
How is it organized?
The portfolio consists of four parts:
A sheet giving details on the training background
An inventory of the specific activities performed when implementing shuttered insulating hemp and lime renders and plasters during the construction school site.
An inventory of knowledge that was passed on to you
An inventory of general expertise

Background
The associative project of Etudes et Chantiers aims to educate building professionals in the broader sense to sustainable development, particularly green building and the use of natural materials in construction through dynamic training actions based on real, practical implementation and discussions with professionals. In this context, Etudes et Chantiers conducts training activities with people in the integration process. These actions have a dual purpose: a) A professional vocation: including periods of training in people’s pathways for integration ensures better integration in the labor market or in a longer training scheme, b) A citizen vocation: to train and raise awareness of our audience (employees in the integration process, international volunteers, local population) to the challenges of sustainable development. The organization “Etudes et Chantiers” participates in projects at European level and leads projects to raise awareness through implementation of short training in field schools and increase of the professional competencies of building professionals in sustainable buildings and techniques using natural materials such as earth, hemp or straw (e.g. INATER ',CREST, LIBNAM).

To reach this target, “Etudes et Chantiers” develops tools for skills management and training, in collaboration with partners and recognized professionals. These tools are mainly activity, skills and training guidelines, which will be used in companies, training centres and integration organizations. This training is based on reference tools developed for the Inater' project, in particular guidelines for hemp-lime renders and plasters (insulating main coat and top coat). It should help both instructors and beneficiaries to assess them. The teaching method is based on these tools.
