As we have chosen to sponsor Pretty Little Liars, a show which is aired on Viva in the UK, it makes sense for us therefore, to also air our TV ads on
VIVA.
Viva is aimed at an audience of those 16+ who seek entertainment and relaxation from TV programmes. This ethos aligns with the identity of our
brand in providing young people with fun and lively clothing that encourages confidence and individuality.
Shows which are currently aired on the channel are My Super Sweet 16, Jersey Shore and Jackass, meaning that they are aimed directly at the same
target audience as ours. Therefore, it is appropriate to advertise our clothing brand, which has a male and female range aimed at 16-24 year
olds, on this channel.

would be most
likely to show
our TV ads
due to the
audiences
watching and
the
programmes
aired.
Our ads will also be broadcasted on E4
which is owned by Channel 4. The ‘E’ stands
for entertainment and the channel is aimed
at 15-25 year olds.The channel aims to engage and entertain
young audiences through diverse entertainment
formats. The channel is broadcasted on
demand as well as on traditional TV format and
has a large Twitter following. Again, this mission
statement suits our brand’s aim; to target young
people and provide a fun and energetic service.

Channel 4 and its network are known to push
boundaries and in particular, document more
controversial topics. A number of shows that are
broadcasted on this channel are slightly more
challenging in their representations and plots
such as Skins, Misfits and Glue. The more
complex nature of these programmes in their
tendency to break away from stereotypes suits
our audience who seek individuality and want to
stand out from the crowd.
