have reported being bullied

At West: 52.4% were a victim of bullying

Suicide Nationally:

Suicide is the 3rd leading cause among death in teens.

24.1% of students had thought seriously about attempting suicide.

At West: 33.3% of students surveyed have

contemplated suicide.

Reputation

At West: 85% have had a rumor spread about them. 95% believe rumors impact a person’s

reputation. 40% believe drinking and partying give you

a good reputation.

Drinking At West:

67% of West students say their parents know they drink.

60% of students admitted to having a hangover or alcohol poisoning.

33% of students surveyed admitted to participating in binge drinking.

90% of seniors surveyed have used alcohol.

Drinking & Driving Nationally:

29% have gotten in a car with someone under the influence of alcohol.

At West: 65-78% have gotten in the car with

someone under the influence of alcohol. 25% have driven under the influence of

alcohol.
